Re: Ferrari SF21 revealed!
If Aston Martin are still in F1 in 10 years time and they stick to a 99% green car each year, we'll be saying the same about them at some point. This year the Aston is new and therefore interesting, even if you're not a fan of the green they're using. You can bet your life that if Ferrari went radi...

Re: Nick Heidfeld
The real issue was the Nick was too much of a nice guy and for all his quickness, he lacked the killer instinct and cold blooded selfishness others have within them. On his day he was as quick as anyone, but circumstances had to favor him and his car well in order for him to look supreme. BMW never ...

Re: Ferrari SF21 revealed!
As a designer, Ferrari are in dire need of a designer to develop eye catching liveries for their F1 division in particular. A few years back they started heading in the right direction, taking chances with DESIGN and added white, and then black and things seemed to be going down the right path but l...

Correct. Paddy was not to blame for anything in Williams CONTINUED downward demise. If anything, his track record spoke for itself and is particularly WHY Claire hired him. McLaren and Mercedes did exceedingly well with him there. Mercedes' rise to dominance was started by Ross Brawn, and Toto did a...

Abiteboul is quite a sharp guy, just not Team Principal material IMPO as has been evident in every top role he's held since arriving in F1. Furthermore, his antics and behavior that ended up with him one-upping Horner and Red Bull when he signed Ricciardo away from them, and the noticeable gratifica...

I don't know... Whatever is noted on his contract, I just hope he will not be considered as the "second" driver, which is a curse in any team and quite a punishment at RBR. That said, if he doesn't take too long to adapt to the car and if RBR listen to him and treat his side of the garage as Versta...

It’s crazy that a driver has to raise funds themselves. I don’t know that they aren’t, but teams should make it a joint effort to market and promote any driver they feel they want driving there car.

Depends on the situation surely? Leclerc is a racing driver who happens to be good looking. He could look like Quasimodo and still be racing for Ferrari. Jorda is where she is because she's very attractive. She wouldn't be a known figure on ability alone. If she looked like Anne Widdecombe I'd be p...

Re: Most underrated driver 2000-2020
I see the Montoya/Ralf comparisons a lot like the Kubica/Heidfeld comparison. People say A was overrated because he only narrowly beat B, when I'd argue B was underrated because he came very close to A. That's interesting. I rate Montoya pretty high so I certainly think that fact that Ralf was clos...

They wont sign him for 2 reasons… First they want to continue to project to the world that their YDP is one of, if not the absolute best in the world and prefer to field Albon one more season at least, and the other reason is because they are perhaps afraid that Checo might match and even beat Max i...

. Both Kvyat and his team should be heavily penalised - that is a massive safety hazard. Both know how important seat belts are even in slow speed shunts - the FIA should make them suffer. . Indeed. The odds are already stacked against a woman before a wheel is even turned. Why are the odd stacked against them? It's not luck here. It's just something they may have to work harder on. Todays drivers are far more shielded from the first hand horrors of the past and definitely don't operate in an environment where any mistake could end in a fatal accident, in the early days it was often other drivers that discovered accident scenes and the bl...

I voted Other and think it would be a great assessment tool for Red Bull to put Hamilton in the 2nd seat and SEE how Max deals with the adversity, pressure and toe to toe battle, and then see where he is ability-wise compared to Hamilton. I'd guess it would be very 2007-ish with Hamilton once again ...

Tbh, I suspect Sainz is about the same (or near to) level as Ricciardo, but a suspicion that is still unproven. We know outside of Hamilton and Verstappen, Ricciardo is proven to be somewhere about the best in the grid. Operating close to the level the top guys are. I don't think McLaren are making...

In American NASCAR, Ford, Chevrolet and Toyota all have (at least one) premium car brand. How either of you come to the conclusion the 740HP+ or 290Ft lbs of torque is gutless is beyond comprehension and suggests you don't know what you're talking about. The extremely short stroke or travel of an F1 engine's pistons means the torque is always going to be rather low compared to the HP rat...

Fantastic engines unlike the V8s. I really disagree with this. The V10's & 12's were certainly the absolute best sounding engines of all time, but the V8's sounded just as incredible in their own right and DID NOT sound bad at all. Different, but certainly not bad in any way. https://youtu.be/5jTTM...

While the end result in this race was exciting, it was a bit of a farce in that Hamilton was too heavily penalized for such a minor infraction, but the penalty is given to the team and if you look at it that way, it befalls on them as a whole and they made the mistake.
