Re: Anyone believe Ferrari signed Hamilton because Charles is a disappointment?

IDK what the heck you're rambling about. You're all over the place and seem to be reading off random Wiki Pages or were suffering a stroke while you rote that. IN 2014 there is absolutely ZERO CHANCE Ferrri wanted Verstappen and to say otherwise is absurd. Jos "CLAIMS" that in 2016 Ferrari and Merce...

Re: Anyone believe Ferrari signed Hamilton because Charles is a disappointment?

Is it reactionary... Leclerc has generally been a better driver than Sainz but only managed to convincingly beat him over a season once in three years. Given the poor start means that it so far looks like it won't change in the 4th year It's a reasonable question to ask. Leclerc has lost a crazy am...

Re: Anyone believe Ferrari signed Hamilton because Charles is a disappointment?

No, I think it's an attempt by Ferrari to get the best team possible. I also think it might be a mistake. Now, I'm not about to suggest that Hamilton is at the same level now as Kimi in 2014 -- but to me, this feels the same as bringing Kimi in to partner Alonso at the start of the hybrid era. Ferr...

Interesting from AMUS that Alonso has been offered a seat at Red Bull but seemingly Alonso is only interested if Verstappen has left the team, strange that Alonso would have less confidence of going up against Verstappen then Hamilton did. https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/formel-1/f1-transfermar...

Re: Silly Season 2025

Sorry but I disagree. Alonso is making Alonso look good and has done so for a VERY long time.
Nothing Stroll is doing has any effect on how good Alonso looks. Alonso is driving lights out in a car that on its day, at the right track is really decent.

Re: Christian Horner Allegations Thread

The presumption of innocence is a very important legal concept. It doesn't necessarily equate to an actual presumption by any number of individuals. Legally speaking, if a person was caught on live camera in front of a dozen witnesses shooting another person, they are presumed innocent until proven...

I like to believe that one is innocent, unless proven guilty in a court of law. Whatever happened to presumption of innocence? Is Tsunoda driving the Red Bull in FP1 at Suzuka? https://twitter.com/F1REAKS/status/1771786096260649335 That would be VERY interesting. Tsunoda has been driving that car lights out and has done considerably better than Ricciardo, and I wonder if he puts up times that are on par with Verstappen, Re...

This is new: 1770165849401249888 It's been rumored that Farrari have offered Newey a ton of money to sign with them, and I "think" Newey might harbor a wee bit resentment towards some of the aero engineers that defected from his immediate crew at Red Bull to join AM, so perhaps he won't want to go ...

Re: Silly Season 2025

Brundle rightly believes that Alonso's antic on Russell which caused damage to his Mercedes car & put him at risk as well, has burnt a bridge he was trying to make to Mercedes for the 2nd seat. Surely not another bridge burnt. Can't burn a bridge any worse than 2021 as a whole, much less the finale...

Alonso would be the last driver Red Bull would hire. He'll create a mutiny inside the team in no time. As opposed to the mutiny already underway at Red Bull with Jos' jealous tirades because he found out he was enjoying Horner's sloppy seconds? And then Marko's public criticisms of Horner rather th...

On top of it all, Hamilton never had a car as dominant as Verstappen has enjoyed the last 2 seasons and seemingly this season as well. I'm sorry, but that's just not true. Re: So... who replaces Lewis at Mercedes?

Verstappen’s performances with inferior cars in 2019 and 2020 are miles above Hamilton in 2022 and 2023 with a comparable deficit. I don’t understand how this is even remotely debatable. Verstappen won races in inferior cars also in 2016, 2017 and 2018, ah but his teammate also was able to win race...

An only 2nd fastest car which is not behind much and slow team mates help with that a lot. Last year Lewis had the 3rd best car which he brought to be the 2nd best after RB. 3rd best car in 2019 and probably 2nd best car in 2020. Both miles off as the fastest car. Probably by a similar amount to ho...
