Re: Stefano Domenicali has resigned
I mentioned this in another thread but Ferrari's two massive problems are: Engine power. Down force. How SD was responsible for these issues is beyond me and from a brief look at Marco Mattiacci's CV I cannot fathom how he will improve these issues either. from every other aspect I cannot fault SD....

Yes, the Ferrari engine is a bit crap. But look on the bright side. If they had produced a dominant engine like merc and merc produced a dud, then they would have probably quit f1 by the end of the year.

In pre season testings, only one car per team is allowed and the teammates take turn in testing that one and same car. The setup work as per individual preferences are done later on when the drivers get their respective cars, and particularly so during the free practice time before the races....

Schumacher was brilliant through the variante alta chicane in Imola. Always felt he carried about 10km/hr more than any other driver. Pity it is no longer part of the calendar.

Ferrari were overall faster than Mclaren in 2007 but they had 3 mechanical failures to Mclaren's 0. The 2 mclaren retirement's were down to driver error.
