Don't know if it's mentioned in this thread or not but RB have lodged a petition for reviewing the Verstappen / Hamilton crash at Silverstone. The case will be discussed on Thursday in Budapest.

Re: Silly Season 2022

A few weeks back I recollect the owner of William's team saying as of now their finances are in good shape & for them now having 2 good drivers is the priority. I still don't see any team being happy to throw away money sorting out contract disputes. Depends how much money. How much does a team lik...

The last race before the summer break. An important race for a few who still have to be confirmed for next year. Getting a new contract during the summer break would be the target for those.

I know it's tight but wonder if we can squeeze Hulk into the equation. Even at Williams with a Bottas would be a good lineup. He has said if in'22 he's overseen, he'll quit hoping for a return to F1.

Just read on a social media post Mercedes wish to get Nyck De Vries alongside Latifi in Williams. I thought that's where Bottas was going to go. If Bottas stays put then where does Russell go?

Re: 2021 British Grand Prix Race Thread

Max left enough space for Hamilton but it was impossible for Hamilton to meet the apex due to the trajectory because of the high speed & due to the closeness of Max's car.

Probably Hamilton should've backed out but he knows he acing Max, his main competitor & probably the toughest guy to overtake.

Re: 2021 British Grand Prix FP & Qualy/Sprint Thread

Regarding RB deliberately retiring Perez to be able to make changes to his car - I'm sure I've seen other teams do this as well earlier. From that back on the grid, progress isn't easy always. As per rules, retiring allows making minor changes. It's like giving someone who's starting at the back som...

Also, he gets a new energy store & control electronics. https://www.motorsportweek.com/2021/07/18/perez-set-for-pit-lane-start-after-multiple-car-...

Something ironical - at the end of Q1, Hamilton was 1st but Max won yesterday so he gets pole. The whole logic behind this fiasco must be a head-scratcher too for Hamilton.

As the sprint progressed, there wasn't any excitement as I knew there wouldn't be a winner or a podium ceremony. Apart from Alonso's driving, nothing else seemed exciting.

This format can be chucked in a hurry even before Monza.
