Racecraft is a pretty vague term and you probably would be better served to split your question into the components that make up racecraft. Those would be:

1) Practicing
2) Qualifying
3) Starts
4) Beginning, mid-race and end-race pace
5) Passing
6) Tire usage
7) Pit strategy

I too love the American cars, particularly from the 50s & 60s. Personally I reckon the engine rules should be relaxed and a multiplier put in place for different configs like other FIA sports. So like a turbo car gets a 1.7 multiplier. So under current rules they would have to run a 1.4 turbo. rotary engine are 1.8 multiplier so 1.33l engine . Which makes the ...

BMW supposedly had an engine that revved up to 22,000 rpm on a test bed in their factory and would've introduced it...
