1940719249665782174 This super/hyper cars of late are just so UGLY... Don't see new generation falling in love with these, just because they go fast. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think that's a stunning looking car. Gorgeous from the side and like a beefier McLaren F1 from the front.

Please tell me which other 3 drivers preceded these champions in their respective championship years. Rosberg is easy... Hamilton, Alonso and Ricciardo Villeneuve is even easier. He hobbled to the title in a dominant car while crashing often. Schumacher, Hakkinen and Coulthard were better among oth...

Re: 2025 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread
Because either of them would be an unworthy champion in my view. How many times did we see a driver become WDC over the past 30 plus years who was not amongst the best 3 in the sport? The only examples I can think of are Mansell in 1992, Räikkönen in 2008, and Button in 2009. Even with Räikkönen on...

Re: 2025 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread
Why would it be all about Verstappen for me? I think you are honestly projecting here. I wouldn't be following a sport closely for 45 years if it was all about the one driver. At the point that Verstappen's title hopes look to be over we suddenly talk about either Norris or Piastri being unworthy c...

I doubt there is much between them. Both are competent midfielders and certainly Pérez' stock must have risen by dint of the performances or rather lack of those that have stepped into the Red Bull seat after him. Given past debates though it would be an interesting match up. Sure, but it would be ...

Re: 2025 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread
For you F1 is all about Verstappen, greatness is him overcoming the odds, when he can't do that then F1 is broke, I said if Red Bull don't improve the car this year then he's not winning the title, three things are not in his favour this year, a dominant car in which to start the season building a ...

You might have convinced me to make Hulk my final DOTD and Bortoletto my honorable mention. Both are probably deserving along with Lawson and Alonso. I also think that the merit of making the one-stopper work are a bit underestimated. Certainly by Ferrari. Well there was no merit at all for Ferrari...

Tsunoda did, but Stroll left space and still had his front wing and left front wheel slightly ahead ...

I think the main ones are Hulkenberg and Lawson. Maybe Alonso too. I think Bortoletto's result is not as good as many are implying. As is often the case, first points and rare decent / good performances can swing the votes a bit. Hulkenberg after a very poor Saturday showed just how good that Saube...

It is just that 5 seconds is basically the most lenient it can be. Drivers ignoring blue flags get much worse than this. He must have known that a lead driver was close, so he was simply oblivious like Stroll sometimes is. Forcing a car onto the grass that he is obliged to let pass makes no sense a...

OK, well I think that's a reasonable system. Obviously we don't want teams making frivolous complaints after each race. I totally agree. I doubt however that we can find many instances of teams filling a post-race review more than 3 times a season. Truth be told, I haven't kept track. I think Red B...

He had 4 lap fresher tyres, should have given him a 0.1 a lap at advantage least + he thought he was quicker, so 0.2 a lap quicker at least . He only closed the gap from 5.7 to 4.3 in around 25 laps. I would say that ideally you weight the points to the quality of the series so certainly a winter series shouldn't carry the same mount of points as a summer series which in fact they don't, you just have to question why such a weak series as FROC run in New Zealand carries the level of points that...
