Re: The big 6 then the rest?

Not really true he is presently tracking at 1 tenth slower, still early days in the season though. I'm not just considering the last 3 races. My impression is that when Piastri out-qualified Norris late last year, it was usually because Norris was a sizable chunk quicker but fluffed his lap. That's...

Re: The Official Carlos Sainz Jr. Thread

I said because of his age probably not, beyond that I don't really have a reference point. OK so you agree he's probably declined then. So why are you arguing against people saying exactly that? I would argue about the level of decline based on just 3 races, let's face it if Hamilton was beating Ru...

Re: The big 6 then the rest?

I agree with the above post. The more times goes on the more Leclerc looks like a Vettel rather than a Hamilton. Sainz and Russell I think are Rosberg/Button level drivers. Both Hamilton and Alonso are definitely showing their age. Their experience means they can still manage their way through a ra...

Re: The Official Carlos Sainz Jr. Thread

Because of his age probably not I just question some of the dubious reference points, it's a spiral of if Hamilton beats Russell then Russell isn't all that good, if Russell beats Hamilton then he's in decline, that's very black and white. In respect to this season we are just 3 races in and it has...

We could say that he was in decline in 2022 then 2023 happened, 3 races in he is in decline driving for a team it seems are in slight meltdown, the experiments are set to continue. Looking at the ages posted by DOLO... The day Antonelli was born, Alonso was driving in the Friday free practice of the 2006 Turkish GP, which was the 14th race of the 18 race season where Alonso claimed his second WDC. As much as I like Alonso, I do think it is high time for him to retire. Obvious...

No because he is now in the 4th/5th fastest car so that will give you that impression, strange you think his results would be similar if he was in the 2nd/3rd fastest car. No, I think his results would be worse. Russell is now outperforming Hamilton and that cannot be a good sign. If the car was fa...

Declaring a driver that didn't participate in the race winner against his team mate is making a mockery of this thread. Re: Silly Season 2025

IMO Lawson is way overrated and a downgrade to Ricciardo. His 5 F1 races were definitely better than expected but he was given 2yrs in F2 and then last year in SF, Japan If he really was another Piastri I do not think RBR would have waited this long. There is a big gap between "another Piastri" and...
