Daily Mirror article
Read http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/formula-1/michael-schumacher-retires-its-rubbish-1360656 in the Daily Mirror this morning. Basically an article which trashes the achivements of the man and puts him behind the likes of Giles Villeneuve, Fernando Alonso and LEWIS HAMILTON in the greatest of all tim...

Re: The Official PAUL DI RESTA Thread
Is there another driver on the grid who is as anonymous on race day as Di Resta? It doesn't matter where he qualifies he always seem to go backwards and just be a complete irrelevance in the race. At the start of the season all the talk was of him replacing Schumacher at Mercades next season but why...

Re: Maldanado - Does He Deserve A Ban?
I rewatched the whole race this weekend and think Maldonado's punishment was fair. I might be slightly paraphrasing things but when Grosjean went past Hamilton earlier in the race the Sky commentators (can't remember if it was Brundle or Croft) said Grosjean went round the outside and Lewis gave him...

Re: most exciting bunch of rookies ever
They are exciting to watch. Beats the last few years when the midfield could be a bit of a bore. Nowdays you get battles all down the track. I'd imagine Kovaleinen and Petrov have good battles toward the back as well. Good season to be a F1 fan.

Well he was one of the "winners" on the main page.
Amazing.

Re: Did Button Stop to Avoid Being Lapped On-Track By Hamilt
Thanks for that valued forum member :uhoh: You're welcome. If I ever have more free time I'll use it to bump my post count up. Right, because watching Vettel fastest in Q1, Q2, Q3, securing pole, and then watching him lead the whole race from start to finish with no incidents, over and over again, ...

Re: Did Button Stop to Avoid Being Lapped On-Track By Hamilt
The thing I'm enjoying about Jenson's problems is last season Brundle et al were going on and on about how great he was at managing drivers, I'm sure they said he was like Alain Prost in driving style and ability. Now all of a sudden his team mate is fighting at the front where the smoothest driver ...

Re: Ferrari speaking Spanish/Italian over team radio..
I find it amazing drivers like Alonso or anyone else on the grid to have to speak in a secondary language whilst driving. I know they're pretty much fluent in English but must take an amazing amount of brain-power to speak a foreign language whilst concentrating for 70 odd laps

Re: Mclaren Strategy
To be fair, Alonso was quite a bit quicker than Lewis and probably would have got the jump on him if the times were identical.
Jenson was his usual classy self. One good season and one undeserved champion doesn't make a great driver. What has happened to the 'smoothest driver on the grid?'

Re: Official Spanish GP Qualifying Thread
Does Button ever stop moaning? Surely it's down to him to provide the feedback in order to fix the problem rather than just complaining over and over again. I'm not Lewis' biggest fan but he just seems able to get on with it. For all the praise Button gets for last years performance, for me he is th...

Re: Poor Alonso
I agree with everything that you mentioned but remember one thing. Hamilton was in his rookie season in 07 and he beat Alonso. I believe in 08 he would have beaten Alonso by an even greater margin (more than 0 points lol) It's funny people keep bringing this up when Fernando has beaten Hamilton for...

Re: Why do Prost supporters love Prost?
you MUST remember the Senna movie was made by people who were HUGE Senna fans. There is no doubt they were pushing a pro-Senna anti Prost theme in that movie. I think both men had their faults, but in watching that movie it feels like Prost was a little baby who ran to the French Pres of racing to ...

Raining at turn 4. No clue how Brundle didn't get that.
