Go to an event held by the Fiat group to celebrate its motorsport division at the start of the year at a ski resort filled with parties, skiing, driving cars, snowmobiles and overall just having fun? Oh, and you're part of one of the biggest motorsport teams in the world on either side, Ferrari for ...

Re: Ferrari are in the best situation of all for design now
Aren't they using the Toyota wind tunnel because the Ferrari one has problems? Its not exactly good when they have to use a wind tunnel not even close to Maranello. They've been using it for a little while i guess though, so it will help them. I don't really think they have an advantage over other t...

Hey sorry guys, went to bed right after I posted it. It's the Hungaroring penultimate corner, so turn 12. So it wasn't turn 13, as you said specdecible. But close enough. :) On the official F1 site it's listed as turn 13, doesn't matter. Anyway here's mine http://i50.tinypic.com/4vk0td.jpg Turn 13,...

Re: Do you think we need re-fueling back
How about no. Fuel tanks would ultimately be smaller as refuelling would be mandatory, meaning all the cars will end up smaller again. Just seems like wasted development from a teams point of view and the racing was pretty bad with refuelling anyways. Brings up another point too, people are seemingl...

Re: Who would do better in an F1 Spec Series?
Even in a spec series you can say the car suits a specific driver over another, if it has good traction out of the corners I'd be inclined to say Vettel, if the car moves around a lot I'd be more in the direction of saying its Hamilton, but i feel like the guy who could adapt to the car and make it ...

Petrov should be kept on after that performance. He basically drove them to 10 million quid, it'd be quite disappointing to see him booted out after that. He's shown Heikki up really, and i think Petrov shows much more potential than him now. He's always had a lot of fight in him ever since he came ...

If the year is completely standard in terms of weather conditions, reliability etc, then the running order should be something like this: 1: Red Bull as Favourites. Nothing really to argue with here. 2: Mclaren behind them. The car is very good and i think this years car already fits within the 2013...

Either Heikki, Sutil, or Kobayashi will partner him. Personally i'd like to see Kobayashi as we can actually see how these newer drivers are performing. You can't really tell with Heikki or Glock as they've been in the newer teams since 2010, while Kobayashi has been in the midfield and a podium fin...

This is F1. If he doesn't like the wheel to wheel racing or the backmarkers as part of the sport shouldn't he do something else? Money talks really. Manufacturers aren't seeing the benefit of WRC at the moment while Citroen dominating the sport completely. I put 4-5 but it honestly just depends on how the eastern economy is doing, and how solidly financed COTA is. It has had a bumpy road into F1, but its there. If eastern economy keeps like how it is though, it might not last as long as Turkey did. But hopefully the fans will keep the track busy. It a...

Webber. Was a very off day for him. Had a bad start, then got frustrated with the youngsters around him. Seemed like a grumpy old man to me. I don't think they'll meet each other on the track, except when Vettel stays out on his long stint and meets some of the midfield. Maldo over Perez. The sponsorship Maldonado brings also opens up a massive market in Venezuela for Mclaren, which makes me wonder why he wasn't considered. 2011 wasn't really controversial. Vettel + Red Bull was just dominant. Same in 2009, but i guess there was technical related controversies as to why Brawn did so well. But it was all cleaned up very quickly, and other teams just had to get on with it really

What? Erm, qualifying is just, qualifying. The system works IMO. The top 10 shootout isn't interfered with particularly, which is good. But isn't THAT much of a spectacle lately. Though i guess they could do a "fast five" similar to Indy instead of the Q3 system, just so the top 5 drivers get the cl...

Re: Gary Anderson column: Red Bull’s secrets revealed
Explains why Vettel has made significant improvement in qualifying. RB's race pace was always there or there abouts, its just that they couldn't climb onto the front of the grid and run the strategy they ran so well in 2011. Other teams need to react, and to react fast if they want a sniff of the 20...

I heard on Ted's Notebook that their front wing has had aero problems and is ruining the entire airflow of the car which probably contributes to their bad pace as of recently. To be honest though the pirellis and strategy lately has made drivers stay off the limit a bit more than usual, yes, they still push and still go very quick, but its not like their bodies can't handle it. Well he made James May drive quick, so yeah, pigs can fly.
I think Jackie can help him, honestly. Grosjean does seem a bit confused at the moment, and someone to actually coach him and set him straight will help. It would also probably bring in a few more driver coaches if all goes well too.

If you look at it from the teams view, they are going to obviously know that Button has a higher probability of winning a WDC than Perez. Thats just statistically. I voted Kimi to win, just for the lulz + if he starts getting consistent podiums and people keep dropping points he'll stand a solid chance.
The stats are all bogus honestly.
Most stats are, and to think the championship has some "voodoo" over it rather than actual mathematics is funny

If you're in the UK, BTCC is a great spectacle. Honestly most touring car championships are pretty good. MotoGP is a bit flat if you compare it to 2010/2011 as of late. I wouldn't call Force India a struggling team financially. They introduced new Sahara sponsors late last year around the Indian GP, and have a stable base of driver talent and a decent car. Toro Rosso is probably more vunerable than them, with the Red Bull brand probably not needing 2 teams in F1. I...

Lets be honest here, in the Schumacher era when Rubens pulled over to let Michael through it wasn't really a groundbreaking move for the WDC. He usually had it pretty much in the bag.
