Re: 2020 Italian Grand Prix Race Thread

Bottas' performance was definitely extremely dull, but Albon finished 15th. They both had very bad days today, but Bottas has had many solid days this season, on a Saturday as well as a Sunday. Yea but Bottas has equal machinery compared to Hamilton and never ever challenges him during the race, on...

Re: 2020 Italian Grand Prix Race Thread

I've watched all the F3, F2 and of course the F1 races this weekend and the difference between the racing in the other to and F1 is stark. These cars simply can't be raced. It doesn't even matter on the track anymore. They can barely get close because of the aero wash and then even when they do the...

Re: 2020 Italian Grand Prix Race Thread

At least Albon can race his car and make some sort of effort. Bottas has been embarrassed today. He overtook nobody in the best car on the grid, cried on the radio and made us believe it was the cars fault he couldn't overtake. Suddenly Hamilton is plonked 25seconds back from last place, overtook on...

Re: Driver(s) of the Day - 2020 Hungarian Grand Prix

Read what you have just quoted...... Vettel started ahead. When he pitted, he lost nearly 10 seconds and many positions. It was this that got Leclerc ahead and despite Leclerc's strategy not being Ideal, Vettel had no help by any safety cars recovering back and he made up that time and quite a lot ...

Vettel was strong this race I think. He lost nearly 10 seconds in his pit stop and there was nothing later in the race that made up for that. He finished in a realistic position despite his bad luck and destroyed Leclerc.. Vettel destroyed leclerc? How do you.figure that one out? Leclerc was comfor...

Re: 2020 Hungarian Grand Prix Race Thread

Is the problem with the drivers or with the team??? Seems the team doesn't have a handle on how to get the race pace out of the car. Fast in practice and qual. but lack race pace. Their strategy is suspect to, should have pitted stroll much earlier. I don't think the drivers maximized qualifying in...

These are the of margins that show the difference between the likes of Hamilton and Bottas. Bottas could not do what Hamilton did last year, I think we all know Hamilton would have gotten 2nd there, drivers make the small but important differences

Well I don't know why Bottas's jump start is taking so much time to investigate. Not even any confimation on no further action or anything. Like Vettel in Japan last year, I think it looked like Bottas moved and stopped just in time to not trigger the sensor which may explain things. Not even shown...

Assuming the racing point is legal (which everything so far suggests it is) constantly calling it 'the pink mercedes' and saying it's literally a Mercedes as if they bought it is a disgrace and an insult to a team that's clearly been working VERY hard to improve and have seen success. What is it wit...

This image by F1 Mercenary confirms exactly what I suspected. It would be great to see Albon’s onboard footage which for whatever reason hasn’t been produced yet. It seems to me Albon had more room on his left to use which he didn’t. I think it’s a clear cut racing incident which considering the new mantra was meant to be ‘let them race’ I’m surprised that wa...
