Re: 2020 Hungarian Grand Prix Race Thread
The fight for the win will be decided after the first corner (barring reliability concerns). If Lewis is in P1 by Turn 2 I fear the battle for the lead will be processional - and a comfortable 1/2 for Merc.
Behind could be and is hopefully tasty. Is rain forecast?

Interested to see whether Mercedes use the DAS here and the potential fallout from Red Bull issuing a protest to its legality. They are convinced it's not legal - so it will be interesting, particularly if they wait till post-race to protest. I dont think Mercedes will be dominant, I think it will b...

Certainly just teething issues or perhaps installation problems.. I think Mercedes had an issue last Thursday or Friday? Seems to be nothing major, bar whatever happened in the Williams last week.

If Mercedes were developing there 2020 car as early as was rumoured, then it may be a carbon copy of 2019. Red Bull sure came stronger in the second half of the year, and Honda have developed fantastically - but Mercedes PU development wont be static if components are going to be frozen from 2021. A...

Part of me wonders if Merc, having wrapped everything up by August has an eye on 2020. Albon will hit in the ground running.. Within 2 tenths in Q3. Marginal on race pace differential. That's a bold prediction. I think theres a big difference between rocking up in the paddock and signing some autographs - and being force fed questions by journalists in the press conference and media duties.
Lewis will no doubt have plenty to say if he closes the race out with a victory on Sunday.
