I´m Brazillian that more than 40 years follow the F1. I know this a mainly British and European users forum. Please, change the names of Massa and Hamilton in this situation, Massa was the champion that year and Hamilton was the runner-up. Do you still think the same? If you bet 100 euro in a socce...

I can fully appreciate the Verstappen’s being anngry about Max being requested to defend Horner from sexual harassment allegations. It’s probably not in Max’s employment contract, afterall. It’s probably not the best commercial look for Max’s interests either. Horner put himself in this position, fr...

Re: Why don't we know the fuel loads of practice?
It allows underperforming Teams to get a bit of publicity, even if it’s a false representation of performance.
Practice results can usually be informally interpreted, allowing for these types of adjustments, by semi-informed followers after about half a season anyway.

I’m very very late to the party when it came to this news. I can appreciate an age difference, but it’s a relative to each partners mental and physical maturity. I don’t think the 80’s is that far removed from today where this would be deemed acceptable. If he was racing today, the amount of global ...

That is pretty much it - I’m very disturbed how I couldn’t know this about my childhood hero for 35 something years. It’s just weird.
Anyway, just totalled rocked by this news. Very surprised others aren’t.

Ayrton Senna if he raced in 2023
I’ve idolised Ayrton Senna much of my life.
Just had my eyes opened - wow.
He would be cancelled and persecuted if he was competing today.
I’m sadly no longer a fan.

Grid Girls are now “Media PR Professionals”
Hi All
Anyone find it suspicious that a lot of the team PR and Media Professionals also happen to be very attractive young women?
Call me a cynic, but it seems as though the eye candy have swapped umbrellas and sign posts for microphones.
Thoughts?

The Race director made that decision. It was his call. In other sports also the umpire or referee does it. IMO these things even out over a period of time whether it was right or wrong and it went on your favor or not. People need to accept it and move on :-| Just imagine if a referee of a World Cu...

If the Weather Gods are insistent -reschedule the race. Ideally a day later, being Monday.
Worst case scenario - a scheduled ‘break’ weekend, alternatively Jan the subsequent year before the new season (adding a clause all contracts end a month later in such scenario).

It wasn't that good. His team mate protected him for the whole of the first half, then caught up easily when he got bored with that. If Lando had been allowed to pass I think he would have won by a distance. I wouldn't say Ricciardo is done, I'd say he's pretty much where he's always been, i.e. pre...

The post the post you agreed with said "Moving repeatedly across a track to cover an attack is fine" The author of that post was complaining about moving in the braking zone which did not happen. 'Braking zone' is an arbitrary term which you can have a lot of fun gaming semantics to complement your...

Re: Who was at fault, Ricciardo or Verstappen? (Baku 2018)
The issue, as it seems clear to most now, is moving repeatedly across to cover an attack. Moving repeatedly across a track to cover an attack is fine - think Malaysia. Reason moving under braking, as a second movement - is an issue. MV should've held the outside line when he bought 'the dummy', lea...

"As drivers, we all know that moving in the braking zone is the most dangerous thing you can do - because the guy [behind] is going at 300km/h and he probably hasn't hit the brakes yet" Jenson Button, 2016. The 'Verstappen rule' was removed making today's collision not entirely Verstappen's fault. H...

Q1: Is there any way to watch a live video broadcast of F1 testing? Q2: Why aren't test sessions broadcasted? After the first lap it was evident that the Toro Rosso cars had been set up to make a flash in qualifying, and would suffer race pace. The end result just confirms that basic fact, Red Bulls finishing 7,8 with the Toro Rosso 13, 14. There is a big difference between being competitive and being stup...

Whilst I respect the value of safety in motorsport, implementing fighter pilot canopies into F1 cars could distinctively separate these cars from those of lesser Formula. ie.
