Re: Female Racing Drivers

I'm willing to GO ALL IN on a wager that not a single one of the top 10 drivers in every series you can imagine, is female. Brittany and Courtney Force would like to have a word. Although I just read that Courtney retired in January, but has over 100 funny car wins and was 6th in last years standin...

Re: Do Ferrari or Mercedes have the best "2nd driver"??

Right now Bottas is even or maybe has a slight edge solely due to experience but we already know what his ceiling is. i.e. his current performance. Good on his day but not consistent enough.

Leclerc has a lot of room for improvement and his consistency will even out as he gains experience.

This is just insane. I thought the Rich Energy deal was a bad idea to start with but is taking on a life of its own now.

I really can’t see how dealing with this guy passed due diligence. Way too much smoke and mirrors involved in the whole setup. This is not the kind of PR a new team needs.

I had a WTF moment when I saw you list Andretti before I realized that I forgot about Michael's stint with McLaren. As a whole I agree with you as far as the self importance of many F1 fans goes. The FIA have a better ladder system for F1 and I think on balance the average driver is better in that s...

I’m pretty sure that customer teams are guaranteed identical spec PU’s but they might always be running the most recent due to usage schedules. Although that shouldn’t be an issue 2 races in. Also thought I recall something about PU’s going into a pool that all teams using that particular manufactur...

Let’s not over-exaggerate. Ricciardo is a proven race winner and will have opportunities in F1 for at least the next decade, unless he voluntarily decides to retire early. With that said, his chances at a WDC will effectively be over if Hulkenberg beats him. At least the next decade? He is 30 years...

Instead of sprinklers in Monaco only bring the hardest compound tire and require the teams to use only spec front and rear wings with half the downforce and no DRS. Since it's pretty much a one off race anyway I'd have no problem with the spec wings for this one race on a circuit that's been outgrown.

Let's mix it up even more. The 10 fastest laps set by people on the lead lap, 5 laps after pitting/start/restart, get a point each. And this means if one driver gets all 10 fastest laps (while satisfying the conditions) then they get all 10 points - you just take the 10 fastest laps (that satisfy t...

Forget Merc, if there's anyone I'd trust to nail the aero package it's Red Bull. And they've also gone for the maximum downforce route. This years front wing IIRC is 200mm wider and 40mm higher but simpler.

No endplate elements to wash the air outward, no (or limited) vanes below the main plane, and simpler elements above.

Perhaps a car designed with a high rake philosophy relies more on the floor to produce down force which works better at high speeds is compromised with the lower speeds that are run when the track is wet.

It is a team sport as much as it is an individual sport. The problem is a lot of fans want to see it only as an individual sport.

I want to see Kimi back on the top step again but if the team decides to swap the positions at this stage of the season I’ve got no problem with it.
