Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021

I went back to check this as I remember you at the time always being adamant that Hamilton wasn't quicker than Vettel. In this thread you state there's nothing between them. I'd guess you've changed your mind on that now? I ask because I assume back then you did many driver comparisons to come to t...

Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021

Qualifying data came out after 2015 showing Hamilton to be faster than Vettel, and validated in subsequent years 2016-2018, yet KingVoid in 2018 voted them as equal drivers, I guess he had no interest in the data back then. Funny how you are the exact opposite. You truly believed in the data back t...

Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021

It wasn't fully justified, Ricciardo was seen as the equal of Hamilton because of his numbers against Vettel in 2014, to validate that there was a set level he needed to beat the Hulk by but he came up short, he not only came up short against the Hulk but he also came up short against Ocon the seas...

Out of interest if you don't mind. What does the Max/Sainz/Lando equation give you? That chain suggests that Verstappen and Norris are equal, although Verstappen was only 17 at the time. Wern't you one of the ones making the claims Vettel was quicker than Hamilton though? And that that season would prove it? As far as I am aware, no. I remember when Ferrari and Mercedes were compared in 2018, a lot of people were saying that the drivers are not equal and making a difference. I feel the same way about this year. Re: Silly Season 2022

I have a feeling that if Russell moved to Red Bull, you would end up with a very similar dynamic to Hamilton-Rosberg. Two drivers who are the same age, with one driver (Verstappen/Hamilton) having a bit of an edge over the other (Russell/Rosberg), but not by a decisive enough margin for the trailing...

Re: Uncharacteristic errors from Hamilton and Verstappen

Hamilton’s racecraft is incredibly overrated. He’s either overly cautious or stupidly clumsy. He doesn’t know how to walk the line like Alonso and Verstappen do. Did Verstappen walk the line today or get it wrong? If you watch the on board he turns right knowing Lewis is beside him and he's the one...

I'm not sure about Imola and Hamilton fans complaining but wasn't Barcelona a dive bomb pass by Max which if Hamilton hadn't yielded he would have been into the barrier at high speed at least according to Horner. Cristian Horner is an eccentric man who likes to exaggerate, for both good and bad. Th...

Re: How will Max and Lewis race each other for the rest of the season?

I think yesterday bordered on deliberate from Hamilton (see the stewards' comments about car 44 not trying to make the apex), but it didn't result in a race ban (barely resulted in a penalty at all). No reason why Max can't return the favor in a similar fashion. I keep reading this not making the A...

Verstappen started in F1 at 17 because it was possibile(and RedBull is RedBull. Remember, they fast tracked Vettel too) and not because he was some kind of genius doing things never seen before. Verstappen won 23 titles in karting. Hamilton won 7 titles. Verstappen became karting world champion at ...

Re: How will Max and Lewis race each other for the rest of the season?

Hamilton knows how to place his car in relation to his opponent's to make sure the opponent crashes out while minimizing his own risk, Whenever a car on the inside hits a car on the outside, the car on the outside is usually at greater risk of spinning out or crashing into the barriers. The car on ...

If Red Bull's lawyers can convince the FIA to allow them to change their totaled engine without a penalty, that would be a useful move. I doubt they can though, the rules are fairly strict on this stuff.
