Hakkinen won the championship by 14 points, Schumacher still wouldn't have won the title even if he'd won in Belgium.

Re: When you first saw Vettel?

I remember being really pleased when he stepped in for Kubica at Indy 2007 because his talent seemed genuine from what I'd seen of him in lower formulae. I don't think anyone expected his rise to be so quick though.

Is this a thread to discuss the race or not? Who cares about some guy's jingoism. Shame Grosjean didn't quite get the reward he deserved today but you can't fault Vettel, seemingly on his way to title number 4.

Nothing more than Bernie making his annual comment to stir up the naysayers that come out of the woodwork to trash talk the GP. He is coming to Melbourne to negotiate but I'd be surprised if the new contract runs for more than 5-7 years.

Why so much focus on times? It's testing. They're not necessarily going for laptimes. They're doing science! Ricciardo often edged it into Q2 while Vergne was regularly eliminated in Q1, using up an extra set of tyres compared to Vergne and more often than not ended up starting on the same row of the grid as him anyway, which put him at a slight disadvantage as far as race strategy goes. He was also too po...
