Re: Le Mans 2020

I wil be missing the prototypes come next year. Just as I miss Stoffel now. And SMP for that matter. Yes, I have enjoyed prototype racing but I guess the sport needs shaking up to bring companies back. That said, the Hypercar concepts I've seen don't exactly look a million miles away from prototype...

Whilst there isn't the large number of different manufacturers we've had in the past, I still love watching it. The GT classes often provide the best racing and are so at the moment this year. Hopefully. the new Hypercar rules will up the variety and it's looking very much that way at the moment. I...

Well, mainly the bit where you said, "so many people who have never, ever been subject to racism." As I said, please highlight the bit where I said that white people can't be subject to racism. If your statement wasn’t based on race then I take it back, although I am now a little confused. By what ...

Re: Le Mans 2020

So, the first 'Slow Zone' is being used at Le Mans, something I think F1 badly needs. A car is stuck in the gravel and rather than a safety car, full course yellow or whatever, the cars continue to race flat out around the majority of the circuit but then slow for the slowzone ensure the car can be ...

Re: F1, Racism & BlackLivesMatter

It’s beyond ignorant of you to assume that white people can’t be subject to racism. I’ve been to Dubai (one of the more tolerant Middle Eastern countries) many times and had family who lived in Saudi Arabia for several years and they have a very clear hierarchy based on race. The local Arabs (Emira...

Re: Driver(s) of the Day - 2020 Belgian Grand Prix

Hamilton def. driver of the day. Everyone else just did the best they could out there. So, if all the others did the best they could, are you saying that Hamilton did better than's capable of doing? No. He did the best he could too, but he also won. So basically, unless a driver drives dreadfully b...

I find it so sad that the people on this forum think they are "helping" by suggesting how Lewis should deal with this issue, because clearly it's not at all ironic that a load of white people are telling him how to accept something that they have absolutely no clue about, and from the comments, hav...

Re: F1, Racism & BlackLivesMatter

Not sure Hamilton deserves too much hassle for supporting anti-racism in such a public manner, when Mercedes changes the colour of their entire car to show support. It is a much subtler way to show support though, isn't it? Yes, but when Mercedes showed the newly painted car, they told the world th...

I know this doesn't get a big following on here, but I just adore Le Mans week, even if it is a little truncated this year. I'm so glad to be watching it this evening as it's my favourite individual motorsport event of the year. I will be struggling in to work come Monday morning!

So let's say they design cars "so they can overtake". OK but to pass another car you still have to be travelling faster than the car you are passing. We'll if you have a format that ensures fastest at the front, why would a a faster car be behind a slower one? "Because of pit stops, strategy and ty...

Maybe the standing restarts should be reserved for the first 10 laps, then people don’t get screwed over at the end of a race, like Russel was.
I agree, although I'd perhaps even reduce it for the first 5 laps. After that, rolling restarts.

If you listen to Russell's engine note out of the final corner, it's not so much him holding back but those in front accelerating quickly and leaving him behind. Understandably he then accelerates to catch them, only to find they've had to seriously back off again. That is a lame excuse for me, wha...

As I mentioned during the race, do we not think the could restart like a rolling start.
