Re: PF1 Institute of Technology (the PIT)
Instead of detaching airflow to decrease down-force in a certain area, would it not be a better idea to for the car to generate 'side-force' as a car goes round the corner, or would the air pressure on the leading side of the car be too extreme to try to balance out on the outer low pressure side?

Re: MORE DOWNFORCE!!
From a JA on F1 article ...As for his first taste of Mercedes vs McLaren machinery, Hamilton was pretty frank, “The McLaren was better, but that’s not a surprise. I could see last year that the Mercedes was often a second off the best; sometimes two seconds. I was prepared for that. I could tell (in...

Re: PF1 Institute of Technology (the PIT)
The "switch" would not be activated by the steering system directly, but from the slight aero shear angle as the car's in the process of changing direction; maybe that could detach a flow and it would stay detached throughout the turn, then re-attach when the car turns back in the direction that th...

Re: Vettel stops on track after Q3 - will start last in AD
You don't know what kind of straight line speed Sebastian's car will have when it is setup to start last. We only ever see it geared and setup for a mad dash from the front. Yes I think they can change their gearing now that they are starting from pit. Also noticed Lewis kept hitting the rev limite...

Who would deserves it and who wouldn't is irrelevant to me now, nor who is and who isn't the better driver - Over the last 18 months I've found Hamilton more and more embarrassing to watch during interviews. Vettel was understandably angry today and clearly spoke those words in anger. Shame FOTA has fragmented, they should all stage a farce and race only their reserve drivers or something else along those lines - they'd probably get more publicity/coverage than a normal race weekend and it would be a huge backfire for Bernie and Bahrain.

The media is hyper fickle race to race, especially early in the season. Any promising drive is labeled the next WDC. Even on PF1 look at how many 'Button WDC' threads and 'Hammy lost the plot' threads we got post Australia. In six days, after the Malaysian GP, this could all be reversed. Hamilton w...

So Lewis can only be successful as Number one driver in a team. Isn't that why Alonso left McLaren to race for Ferrari and why RB will never bring Lewis or Alonso while Vettel's there? Jenson might thrive under that situation but I would imagine most drivers would not. I love what McLaren have done...
