Re: "He hit me, Nico hit me" thoughts?
People are saying Lewis did not give him room. The guy in front does not have to give room. I remember at the start of the Canadian GP Nico drove Lewis into the grass, and he lost two places. The guy behind is responsible to give way. This is why the penalty on Magnussen is ridiculous. Alonso had to...

Re: Why was Hamilton so slow on the straights?
Hamilton was not set up differently. Nico turned up his boost because he could not stand that Lewis had passed him into the first corner.
DRS was not enable yet.

Re: Exceeding track limits - Qualifying
Nico left the track in Canada because he made a mistake and entered the corner with to much speed. He gained an advantage by not staying on the track. If there had been a wall there he (Nico) would have lost a position.

Re: Exceeding track limits - Qualifying
Didn't Nico gain track advantage in Canada by leaving the track? Now they change the rules.

Re: Nico did a Michael
Seams like this always happens at Monaco. Should place a rule saying if on the last quali run if you have pole position, and you cause a yellow flag which prevents others from qualifying you must revert to previous qualifying time. The one before pole.

Lewis still had the right to the driving line even if Bottas was trying to overtake.

Re: Planet F1 Winners and Losers view on the Bot v Ham incid
I'm looking at the photo. Bottas is looking at the mercedez, he could have moved to the right. Bottas could see what was going to happen. Lewis is looking strait ahead. He was cought by surprise. Bottas could have avoided the contact.

Re: Planet F1 Winners and Losers view on the Bot v Ham incid
Black Flag 11. In Canada Button ran into Lewis on purpose because it was the 3rd time in 10 laps Lewis was going to pass him. I will never believe Button did not see him. Button squezzed him into the wall. Bottas should have realized Lewis would move over to take the line into the corner. Stupid mov...

Re: Planet F1 Winners and Losers view on the Bot v Ham incid
Why does no one on this board realize Lewis moved back to the right slightly to get on the racing line. They claim he moved into Bottas. He was the car in front and had the right to use the racing line to make the left turn. Watch every other racer take the same line Lewis did. Botta's move on the o...

Re: Alonso Pass Under Caution
Can't believe more people did not see this. Maybe it was only replayed on the US feed. Friend of mine at worked discussed this on Monday after the race.
He and I were baffled that no one lodged a formal complaint.

Re: Alonso Pass Under Caution
I just remember the TV commenting on how it was illegal to pass on a yellow. It was in the DRS zone, on the last strait before the final chicane. They even replayed it in slow motion. Never saw or heard anything on the internet regarding the pass. David Hobb's clearly stated it was illegal.

Alonso Pass Under Caution
What ever became of the pass Alonso made under caution shown on television? NBC commented on it and showed a replay and I never heard anything else about it. It was clear as day.

Re: Lewis Hamilton
So he made a bad start and fell into P2. He then had the pace to keep under Buttons gear box to make a move in the DRS as soon as it was enabled. Oh wait no Jensen pulled out a gap and out of the DRS zone in the first 2 laps. I guess he was just incredibly unlucky Jensen was quicker and able to mai...

Re: Lewis Hamilton
Why is it you race for 34 laps in second place and because someone parks his car on the front strait you lose a position. Rule needs to be cars maintain there positions if a safety car comes out. You should not be penalized because a safety car comes out. Just the luck of the draw, sometimes it wor...

I recall Button driving his teammate into the wall in Canada and then acting like "What is Lewis trying to do". He was trying to pass you becouse you are so slow.

Re: Hamilton vs Button 2012 (Championship Edition)
I recall an interview last year when Sir Frank was stating that every 10 years a special talent comes into F1. The talent he spoke abount was Lewis, not Vettel or Alonso. I have watched this sport since 1980 and Button is not in the same league as Hamilton. How many times did Lewis pass his teamate ...

Re: Jenson gets better and better !!
Lewis blew him away on many occassions last year. I recall Lewis passing Jenson in the early part of the season at least 7 or 8 times. Out qualified him most of the time also. Jenson just stayed out of trouble and let everyone else retire. There is no comparison between Jenson and Lewis for raw spee...

Re: The Lewis Hamilton appreciation thread (official)
I just have one comment. Lewis out qualified Button last year most of the time. In addition I recall Lewis passing Button early on in at least 7-8 race. I never recall Button ever passing Lewis. There is no comparison of the two talents.
