Re: 2015 Abu Dhabi race thread
What the hell was that micromanagment of the Mercedes drivers in this race, i think they make a fool of race-fans in this race. 2 weeks ago they said they keep them on identical strategies to keep the battle fair, but they clearly disadvantage Hamilton in this race. I'm a Ferrari fan, so i couldn't ...

Re: 14 cars OR 20 cars but no Ferrari
Ferrari get 2½% of the profit pie extra just for turning up. Which is around 18.8 million $. The prize money they recieve as per the exact same rules as everybody else + their extra prize money is around 100 million $. Now i wouldn't argue that it's an unfair advantage, since they got more prize mon...

Re: The Conspiracy of Ferrari and Renault
In the end, if the advantage Mercedes has with their engine is sustained, sporting decisions by the FIA will be made to alter the competitive picture. It has always been the case in f1 imo, and it will be again. From a cost perspective, i dont agree at all, as others have pointed parts are being dev...

Re: Power Struggle at Ferrari?
I do not think so. For me, the appointment of Mattiachi is either: 1)An interrim solution untill Brawn or whoever steps in or 2)A signal that the organizational structure of Ferrari is lacking. I would think the latter part to be honest. Ferrari has more than enough high-profile technical staff. So ...

I don't agree with divebombing. It puts way too much trust in the driver being overtaken. If I was Prost, I would have turned in too. Senna had a godgiven talent, but some of his driving wasn't the stuff of angels.

F1s main audience is the casual fan. So the rest of us can yell and scream all we want, but FOM will always try to please the casual fan.

It's without a doubt financial issues. Afaik no new big sponser has been announced (PDVSA soon??). If you look at their turnover in 2012 they recorded a £56 million deficit, they biggets of any motorsport team in history. They even put their factory as security for a 35£ million loan. 2011 was the s...

Try explain that to the board of FOM, i dont think they'll be too happy  If you want a true drivers championsship, have a spec series. I have a G27 for 3 years now, and i'm very happy with it. Yes, the wheel position sensor can get out of shape, but it's fairly easy to fix yourself. Happened twice for me and i could fix it myself both times. Just need some epoxy-glue and a steady hand!

Nope. You can't use the forecast for anything. It's almost the excact same 365 days a year. And it usually never rains in the evening there. And you better hope it wont rain, the race wont start with even a little spray. Those lights will make it way too dangerous.
