Really annoyed that there is no Windows desktop version of this available. The fact that they took the time to hobble the old basic live timing is just rubbing salt in the wounds. Re: Are Mercedes still sandbagging (Engine performace) ?
Sandbagging? I dont personally think so. They had that engine turned right up after the Safety car in Bahrain - the amount they pulled away was huge. That was probably top speed by that point. They do seemingly still have a bit more to get out of the car with aero parts, but I don't think the engine...

Re: Pastor Maldonado says FIA penalties will spoil F1 racing
He hasn't got a clue. A random person who's played on any old F1 game could probably do a better job. He's got no sense of speed, no thought process when racing, and just overall is not fit to be in an F1 car. I know we had a similar thing with Grosjean, and I myself called for his head - the differ...

Re: Mercedes W05 ultra-short nose passed the Fourth crash te
Holy crap that nose looks agressive as hell, the front wing looks barely attached - hopefully the wing stays on!! That was the initial problem with their other nose too. They had to have one reinforced and flown out during the first test when it broke. Hopefully they wont have that issue this time ...

Huh...thats an interesting way of doing it. Kinda adds a bit more to Quali and driving to the limit though!Three points will be awarded to the driver securing pole position whilst the driver setting the fastest lap receives two points.

Re: Mercedes W05 ultra-short nose passed the Fourth crash te
That's a terribly written article, with no source for the price at all (or any other prices to compare it to)...but what is interesting is this: “The car will be easier to balance with this solution,” said designer Aldo Costa. Team boss Toto Wolff explains: “The car was designed for the short nose. ...

I know that the last round of new teams didn't exactly go great, but that was down to the cockup that was the F1 budget. However someone entering with the knowledge that they cant rely on funding direct from F1 will no doubt have other reasons for entering. For example to use it as a sponsorship mec...

Refreshing how Mercedes are now The Evil Team® instead of Red Bull. At least Mercedes haven't "bought" their way to success in the way Red Bull did. And they dont have a B team which is also good. Interestingly, while this happened in America the race in the UK had its lowest rating since 2007 largely due to the BBC's poor scheduling of the race show after 10 on a Sunday night. Do the BBC have to leave a certain number of hours before they are allowed to show highlights of a race they are no...

Re: Marussia Motors in liquidation
The Toyota would be so hopelessly out of date by now. Quite. Not a single chassis was carried over by any of the teams from last year, not even Caterham or Marussia. The new rules meant the teams had to completely redesign all their cars and all the components in it. They couldn't use a 2010 Toyota...

Remember that there is more than just the Merc team with Merc engines. Right now they obviously have a massive advantage as their car was built around that engine. Another possible idea (not that it, or cameras are better than mirrors IMO) would be parking-sensor type things that beep in the ear of the driver...so if there's someone getting close on the left, the left ear beeps for example. Again, probably not worth it - as James14 said, technology for the sak...

With regards to using the existing T-mount rear camera, that's not currently an option. The cameras are pretty selectively placed. All cars carry a T-cam facing forward. And all cars now carry the front-wing/nose cam. But: - Only a few cards have a reversing nose cam - Only a few cars have a rear-fa...
