Re: Alonso and Vettel
No need for hindsight Mclaren has been bad since '13. Alonso had no other choice hence why he ended up there. I think it's not because he had no other choice, but the new McLaren-Honda partnership was his priority, of course because of the past history. Who would predict back then if the partnershi...

But being at Mclaren was better? Had he stayed at Ferrari they will still be worse off. Last season proves that, yes the Honda engine wasn't all that but Mclaren had a deficient chassis and Alonso can not say he didn't know this but kept bashing Honda and hence we heard the we have the best chassis...

Really good qualifying. Don't think I've actually enjoyed watching a quali that much since possibly 2012. Really? I thought it was quite anti-climatic after the first runs - it was clear that Vettel was out of reach and no one was able to improve their positions. There have been more exciting quali...

I choose Hamilton this time for being the real gentleman. He really didn't need to give his podium back to Bottas as he's the team's lead driver . But he did. Re: The Official Kimi Räikkonen thread
Come on guys, Kimi might have been so upset after the race, but maybe not anymore now. I think it's only a miscalculation by Ferrari, they might have thought the brand new SS would be faster than the old US, and they were afraid of undercut. So they responded by pitting their lead driver, a usual pr...

From what I've seen. I think it all started when Ferrari thought, just like what RBR thought , the brand new SS would be faster than the old US (as is the usual case in other races). They saw MV with new SS was faster than VB and even almost undercut VB, that's why they responded by boxing their LEA...

Re: Do you think Alonso would want to go to Mercedes?
Fernando would crush Hamilton into tiny dust particles if he joined the dream team. But I think Mercedes must have a German driver in the team, and there are some very good options to make that happen. So if Fernando joins, Mercedes must fire Hamilton for his dirty tactics in Abu Dhabi and then the...

I'm disappointed that Rosberg may have handed Hamilton his easiest chance at title number four. If either Red Bull or Ferrari close up a bit with the new regulations, I could,ve seen Rosberg and Hamilton handing the title to a driver from a team with a clear 1-2 hierarchy by taking racing races off...

To be fair to Alonso, he deserves another chance for a title shot. If he can win it the third time as he wishes, he may consider to retire, or to continue if he still wants it. With McLaren-Honda his chance will come 2-3 years from now, not sure he'll still be there or not. I just can't see such a t...

Hamilton will take an engine penalty after the break and start at the back. Has to be spa, would make sense. Monza will be much better. He can start from 22th or 12th and still finish at 2nd. Rosberg's 5 grid-pace penalty is harder because he'll take it at Hungary where overtaking is very difficult...

Maybe what Marko means is that now engine power is the decisive factor, not car design (aerodynamics) anymore. Red Bull dominated because of their chassis design, not because of buying a high-power engine, so the comparison between Red Bull's dominance and Mercedez' dominance isn't accurate. I agree...

Without the first SC after Ericsson's crash, Rosberg would've won it very easily. His trouble came when he was stuck behind Vergne as a result of the SC, then after he passed Vergne, his pace was absolutely unchallenged. Mercedez are still miles ahead. No the idea is to remove blatant bad luck for the drivers. I agree with the system of who ever finishines ahead gets the point. We have seen in the past when it comes to driver selection, the one with the more points is more likely to be retained.
