Re: A new era on its way
The budget cap is not going to change the pecking order suddenly. Also a lot of the top teams have the best people working for them. They will find a way to retain the best minds in the sport regardless of the budget cap. Not to mention teams like Mercedes have huge R&D facility for their commercial...

Re: Sebastian Vettel to leave Ferrari at end of season
. Vettel has always been his own worst enemy. I would suggest that he try to shadow Alonso, in the various formulas - that might garner some real public interest. . I don't think Vettel has any pull or desire to be somewhere else outside F1. Alonso always had that drive and will. Vettle has never s...

Re: Sebastian Vettel to leave Ferrari at end of season
This is gonna suck for both Ferrari and Vettel. As much as I like Charles I don't think he is yet ready to be a team leader. He also makes costly mistakes every now and then. Sure Seb made them in last 3 years as well but he at least knows how to win tense championships. I think Ferrari will miss th...

Re: Ferrari to evaluate F1 future
Ferrari would be a huge loss for the sport, because Ferrari is the only team that has an actual fanbase. Look at Monza, the atmosphere when Leclerc won was insane. Those are not fans of one specific driver, they are Ferrari fans. Which other team can create that kind of emotion? Mercedes, Red Bull,...

Multiple drivers spinning on 1st day of 2nd test. There were quite a few offs today as well. Apparently it was too cold for tyres. Also little surprised by lack of enthusiasm amongst F1 fans about this whole testing. This year I am seeing considerably less interaction even on social media. Last year...

I want to see a comparison with last year's car, it looks similar to my eye, but that's probably just me! It looks that way at first. But more you see side by side pics, more you realise its very different car. Sidepods are different, rear of the car is different. Only the nose and front wing looks...

Re: Ferrari to retain Veto
Someone from the team needs to have a veto power for financial and technical regulations. They should not however have veto in sporting regulations. A sport runners left unchecked with all the financial power and decision making power would mean FOM has all the say, that aint good for teams. Especia...

It is funny that Max's name is being taken for an all-time list of any kind at this point in his career. He is a boy wonder, so were many others including Vettel himself at the beginning of their career. I wouldn't put any modern driver on any list before they complete 8-10 seasons in F1 or win at ...

Improving Monaco is pipe dream. The best thing they can do it remove it as a championship race. Let them have their annual stand alone GP if FIA and FOM wants to go there. Remove it from championship. Nothing else can make it better.

I dont want to vote for anyone. It was that kinda race. Could just say this race was a big lesson for Leclerc as to exactly what not to do in that situation. Its only his self destruction that even brought out the safety car or we would have seen a very processional race. It was largely processional...

Its a giant mess right now. And its clear the things FIA thinks will result in better overtaking, less complex aero are not working. They thought it will make things easier if they simplified front wings. Look whats happening this year. We now have more complex barge boards, veins and slots and wing...

What a terrible start to 2019 season. For all the controversies, he was undeniably respected, fair, calm and controlling presence as race director, a role which suited him well.
He will be missed. As excited as I am for this season, it will be odd not seeing him flagging off the races.
R.I.P.

I am surprised people are still wondering about need of Ferrari to have these logos. They dont. Thats not the point at all. They could have multiple high profile sponsors if it comes to that. In dominant Ferrari, I could see Leclerc grabbing 3-4 wins in a season. Its too much to expect more at this point from him. No chance of McLaren scoring a win in normal race. So no to Norris.

I'm not particularly interested in front wing design - other than to make the racing better. The FIA seems to have made a half-heated attempt to get a 'better racing' result. The 2019 wings are very similar to the 2018 wings, so likely to function similarly. It was never about the downforce with th...

Bit too much branding stickers for my liking & the fluorescent lighting probably made it look more Orange during launch event. But I do like matte finish.

Watching Ferrari launch, its ugly duckling with all the branding, but I do like matte paint job. Just hope its fast. It does look like they showed the car with fake diffuser and very simple wings. But visibly very similar to last years car. Though it did had noticeable rake.

With the current pit wall and team management, it would have been 2012 story in favour of Hamilton even if it was Alonso at the helm.
