Its like the Powers-that-be want F1 to fail and die!
Honestly, this is getting silly now. its like Bernie, Jean Todt, all the other big wigs and people in power actually want to run F1 into the ground until it eventually shrivels up and dies. Have they figured out they can make more money by breaking it up and selling it off or something?? And they al...

Cockpit Halo -----> Toilet Seat
After all the design concepts I've seen of this cockpit "halo", does anyone else think it just looks like a very aerodynamic, very expensive toilet seat?
Maybe we should refer to it as the toilet seat from now on

Return to Proper Qualifying
Why can't we just return to the old qualifying format of each driver having 1 hour to do 12 laps? The current and proposed format are very complicated, gimmicky and just an overall turn off. I think that 1hour/12 lap system is a more genuine format and allows for some surprises and clever tactics wh...

Wacky, Genius, odd and downright silly F1 bodywork
I'm interested to see if anyone has any links, info or images for F1 bodywork or plans that were a little bit out there. This could be on actual F1 cars, wind-tunnel models, blueprints, computer graphics or even a drawing on a napkin. I know that Honda had some pretty crazy looking wind tunnel model...

Since he has been booted out of Renault, and that he has (a little) money behind him, I have a funny feeling Maldonado could end up at Manor.

Daft, funny and unbelievable but genuine F1 rumours
I thought it would be interesting to see if anyone can remember any rumours that went around the F1 community, which at the time seemed plausible but with hindsight seem a bit silly. Stuff like drivers moving teams, engine deals, new tracks, sponsorships, team/manufacturer entries etc etc I remember...

Jenson Button: 2001 vs 2008 vs 2015
So then, Jenson's 2001, 2008 and 2015 seasons. 2001 was dreadful, 2008 was awful and 2015 is currently going wrong on many levels. Weirdly enough on two of those times Honda were involved. I'm interested to know what people think of these 3 seasons and which was worse. Personally although the season...

All these F1 cars with blank sidepods and wings made me think about businesses that definitely should sponsor a team. I'm sure if companies like Pepsi, Coca-Cola or Monster had title sponsorship of a team we would see some great liveries too. It will also be interesting to see what Haas F1 do with s...

Does anyone else get the impression after hearing interviews by those at Mclaren and reading PR statements that they feel they have a "god given right" to be at the front of the grid, winning races and world championships? I was intersted to see what others would think of a return to the 1 flying lap qualifying set up where the drivers had just one chance to put in a quick time. With the current mess that F1 currently finds itself in, I believe that some proper and genuine competition would do it the world of good and make a lot of parties involved pull their fingers out. I wanna get something off my chest......
As I'm sure we can agree on, motorsport began and exists now because it is so far removed from normal road-going cars. It is wrong to try and make F1 tech relevant to road cars. It is just manufacturers trying to manipulate the sport in order to sell a few more cars. Why is WRC dying on it's pickle?...

Just like in every sport, F1 has gifted us with many moments which give you goosebumps or as Murray put it "a lump in my throat". Was just wondering what moments in F1 have given others a similar experience.
Jenson winning the title with Brawn in 2009 was definitely a goosebumps moment for myself!

I have no doubt that Hulkenberg is a great driver but I have a feeling that he might be slipping into the same situation as Jean Alesi where he was touted as being excellent but never got that top drive. Mansell at Jordan 1997
After doing some reading a few years ago I discovered that Nigel Mansell did some testing with Jordan in late 1996 for a possible comeback in 1997. Benson and Hedges, who were sponsoring Jordan, wanted a big name driver and were prepared to cover the cost. After a series of tests, the 43 year old Ma...

This is a chance to post images or talk about F1 drivers driving cars in a one off situation. Thought it would be interesting.
For example, Mansell in the 1996 Jordan, Prost in the 1992 Ligier, Button in the 1999 Mclaren or Prost.
Anyway, I think you get the picture
