Re: The Official Football Thread

Back to Messi for a second - he's scored what, 72 goals in all competitions this year? Emile Heskey has scored 80 goals in 10 seasons. :D Yes but Lionel Messi is one of the greatest players of all time. Emile Heskey on the other hand, is probably the worst player ever to wear an England shirt, and ...

OK here my my two cent. I think ynot22 said more eloquently what I was trying to say earlier. I completely understand people have differing opinions and as I said that's cool, but this thread wasn't really the appropriate place. That's all.

I hate to say it but the incubus does raise some good points. Looking at Gilles in terms of his ability as an all-round racer, he clearly is nowhere near in the same league as Senna or Schumacher. I wouldn't rank him close to the top ten all time. He seemed to be far too obsessed with going for glo...

I remember the day very clearly, and the tears that followed from all in our family. My Dad was devastated - Senna had become his hero after Gilles Villeneuve died and now another one of his loves had gone.

You are deeply missed Aryton.

My thoughts to Ratzenberger too - RIP both!

There is no rhyme or reason to what I listen to. At the moment I'm listening to the Spiderman 1 OST (10 years old, argh).

I'm listening to a lot of Simon and Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, Cream, Jimi Hendrix at the moment.

I guess my chosen genre would be electronica though.

Heating tyres.
