Re: Lewis Tweet: Need analysis
It was a bit of a silly one, but as a fan, I was absolutely delighted to see the tweet. It was so cool to get that insight in such a manner, he was giving something to the fans. I don't think he realised the mistake until it was done. Gotta ask though, why did whichever team member let him take a ph...

Re: Did last season really suck? Or is this season really g
Last season had it's good points, some really exciting races, generally ones where Vettel didn't win, it's never that fun watching a driver dominate a season like he did. I guess it may be different if it's the driver you support. Last year didn't suck, but this year it's far more competitive and we...

Re: Peter Windsor and Rob Wilson on the best of the current
I posted this in the Kimi forum as I thought it would get a bit of a response but to no avail. Regardless, having watched the video blog ( http://smibs.tv/live ) of Peter Windsor last week with analysis from Rob Wilson (driving coach to a number of current drivers by all accounts) there was somethi...

Who is on the bottom right next to Massa? I just can't work it out. It's fantastic though, Jenson's face makes me laugh every time.

Re: Is Vettel the new Hamilton?
I think why people don't "like" Hamilton is because of ITV it was basically "Hamilton, Hamilton Hamilton Hamilton Hamilton Hamilton Hamilton Hamilton Hamilton Hamilton Hamilton" Then a bit about Raikkonen, then introducing the race was, "Now we get to see how Britain's Lewis Hamilton gets on". I su...

Re: How do you watch the GP?
Nowadays... huddled round a 24" monitor while my 37" HDTV sits getting dusty in the corner...thanks Sky! I know it was all in good fun but sadly it was the bbc who sold us out, Sky just picked up the loot. :-P Usually, I watch it live on whichever channel is showing it live - now Sky, used to...

Re: Sky F1 Website
From my experience of using the Sky site to find out prices... I'm not surprised. By contrast (and take this with the pinch of salt: I can't afford Sky's F1 package anyway): BBC's iPlayer is way ahead of the competition when it comes to online TV. Way, way ahead. Contrast ITV, Sky, anything using M...

Re: Lewis Hamilton
As far as I can remember, he didn't make any errors during the race bar losing one place on the start. If he had made a bad start you would have expected him to have been mugged by Schumacher as well, given the starts the Mercedes - particularly those with Schumacher at the wheel - typically give. ...

Easily one of the best features of Sky's new coverage, which all in all has been pretty good so far.

Re: Hamilton vs Button 2012 (Championship Edition)
I really don't buy into this succumbing to the pressure from the other side of the garage thing. He's admitted being distracted and unfocussed. 2011 - Lewis beat Lewis. If Jenson beats Lewis this year, I will be on hand to say congratulations. 2012 is the decider. You can't ignore that their best an...

Canada 2011, made a move on Alonso, they connected, Alonso came off worse, JB had a puncture. Next?sgt.hartman wrote:Wisdom wrote:sgt.hartman wrote:ToughGuy wrote:FAO Petef1

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zl-oAsDCGNA 'Nuff said. More seriously though, I never actually watched F1 when he was commentating, I wasn't interested in the sport back then (Boo me!) but i've seen him on some of the classic races and the BBC features, and I think whilst commentating he made error...

Re: Hamilton vs Button 2012 (Championship Edition)
I totally don't buy into this "Hamilton was suffering all year because Button was beating him, he only brought personal issues in because he was loosing" tosh. Yes, Button beat Hamilton, he did the better job over the year. He wasn't up until Monaco, he hadn't been doing any better than him, in face...

Re: 6 World Champions on the grid, but HOW do you rate them?
Okay, so in the interests of covering every angle of my opinion here's my layout: How I rate them: 1: Hamilton - 9/10 I think Hamilton has the most natural talent, he just needs to harness it. 2: Alonso - 8.8/10 At the moment, the best overall package on the grid, relentlessly consistent, agressive...

Re: BBCF1 greatest drivers
There is life beyond Sky, believe it or not. I seem to be in the minority in thinking that the majority of Sky's output will be a load of old tosh that us proper fans already knew. The phrase "giving F1 the Sky Sports treatment" really makes me roll my eyes...is their football coverage really any b...

For starters, it is completely unacceptable for anyone on twitter to attack anyone else. Discussion or voicing opinion is fine, however vile attacks. Not on. So i hope the people in question have been reported and get their comeuppance. When I first heard the news, I was really peeved. I was peeved ...

Canada 2010. He proved he could control rapidly degrading tyres and was still quick enough to win! I had a knot in my back from tensing the whole way through the race. It was exciting!

I was firmly in the beeb boat, but I have sky HD so it's not at extra cost and really, the BBC sold F1 and it's fans down the river. So i'll be watching it on Sky mainly. I may look in on the Beeb's highlight show in the afternoon if the race was good. Other than that, it'll be all live all the time...

Re: The Lewis Hamilton appreciation thread (official)
I genuinely think he'll do well this season. Being honest I don't think Button was his problem last year. He equalled Button's wins, he made mistakes, and he also had his fair share of bad luck - punctures, pit stops, strategy errors. All in all he finished 43 points off Button. In your worst season...
