Re: 2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Race Thread
Can't Aston just argue that they weren't even trying to serve the penalty but just inspecting the car there? And then the original 5 seconds would be just added to Alonso's race time?

I still wouldn't rule out Vettel returning to Red Bull. If Albon fails to deliver, then Red Bull are facing the decision to replace him anyway, and if the only other options are to bring back Gasly or Kvyat, then surely they must at least consider Vettel?

Re: Sebastian Vettel to leave Ferrari at end of season
Vettel supposedly turned down a McLaren offer. It's Mercedes or retirement for him allegedly. All I can think is that, what would Mclaren gain by replacing Sainz with Vettel? In Sainz & Norris Mclaren clearly have had a pair that gets along well together. Who knows what happens, if you put Vettel a...

Bottas. He wouldn't have won the the championship. Because he is a good number 2. And nothing more. (Eddie Irvine level) the only way he would have a outside chance of winning is if we had a hulkenberg troe of driver supporting him Bottas was second. That literally means he would have won the title...

I followed all the FP sessions when Sainz and Verstappen were both in ToroRosso and there was nothing between them. Exactly, I think this is the biggest merit Sainz has as of date. Although he lost to Verstappen in points, pace-wise he was very close to Verstappen, probably even closer than Ricciar...

A fine is appropriate, but 250,000 euros? Why so much more than you'd get for an unsafe release or something similar that legitimately endangers lives? The trouble is if he was at Ferrari, then Verstappen, Vettel or Riccardo would be at Mercedes by now, or Rosberg racking up the World titles without him in the way, and we'll assume Leclerc is his team mate. I'm alone on this but one shot quali was always my favourite format. I like one shot qualifying, but I can't support how random it becomes when the weather isn't stable. IF Vettel calls it a day (or is let go) then I don't see why they don't bring Kimi back for one season until one of their academy drivers is ready for 2021. I think the due date has passed on that. The current format is otherwise fine, but personally I would like to see Q3 changed into one shot qualifying. That way we would be able to follow the fight for pole more closely.
