How about less talk and more action?

After months of complaining about the Honda engine, both DNFs for Alonso were caused by chassis-related failures.

Re: Webber wins WEC

Yet another proof that most of the best drivers in the world are in F1. That may well be true but driving for the WEC is arguably more challenging than F1 at the moment due to the requirement to go flat out every single lap. There's no such thing as fuel or tyre saving. Physically it's less demandi...

These 'black box' areas include for 2016 upper/lower crankcase, valve drive, cover, the air valve system and ancillaries drive. Further restrictions come on board for 2017 and beyond, meaning that the scope for development gets less and less as time goes on. This is why Honda started racing one yea...

Re: Honda Spends last of Tokens

Honda's decisions to race one year early, and to spend most of their tokens on the ICE, are driven by the PU regulations, where many parts of the ICE will be frozen after this year.

If not for this, Honda will start racing next year instead. They're not quite a stupid as they're being made out to be.

It is very unlikely that the race will be cancelled due to the haze. For the last 4-5 days, I'd say it was somewhat tolerable 80% of the time. I'm not sure if we watched the same race. If there's one thing that McHonda did right, they had both cars finish the race while others were dropping like flies. No one-size-fits-all answer but when something comes loose in a machine operating at >10,000rpm I think you can expect it to be rather catastrophic. Re: Honda engine at Spa to equal Ferrari engine??

Chassis and engine are one tight integrated package. You'll have to be making a ton of assumptions to pin it on one or the other e.g. - With more engine power you can increase the wing and get more downforce, the converse is true - With the engine overheating you'll need to cater for more cooling, w...

In that case, what would you call an F1 without the manufacturers? Other than Ferrari, none of the other engine manufacturers were going to stay if it were going to be the 2.4L V8s still. Prior to the new PUs, the FIA WEC had blown way past F1 in terms of technology. F1 needed to do what it had to d...
