Re: Monaco, tyre strategy and Ricciardo
I imagine RBR's strategy would look something like this? Assuming it's a dry one-stop race. PLAN A: One stop for Ultra Softs (Lap 45-78) Scenarios: -Ricciardo stays in P1 and has longer first stint; as long as he has the tyres/pace to keep the gap over the Mercs/Vettel until his pit window opens. -R...

http://www.gpguide.com/Statistics.aspx Slightly clunky site that hasn't really been updated since launch in 2010 but access to full database used for the fabled (Marlboro) Grand Prix Guide by Jacques Deschenaux handed out to F1 insiders every season. I'm shattered. But I guess we knew this day would come. For my needs, I see no value in paying $60/month simply for the F1 (I think the current deal is $50/m sports package, 12 months, plus $10/m for HD). Well, all Ricciardo would need in order to win the title is that both Mercedes drivers basically stop racing. Or at least, do not show up on any podium for the rest of the year. To start with. It is an outside chance, but the point is there is still a chance where realistically there shouldn't be a...

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation believes the new engine sound is that bad it justifies a 'breach of contract' and is threatening legal action. He did 25 laps fully fueled and u think he could only do 20 laps on stint 2 with less fuel? Not exactly what the OP was after but still worth a mention... Long before it's redevelopment for Melbourne's first world championship event in 1996, the Albert Park circuit was the home of the 'Australian Grand Prix' from 1953-58 and ran counter-clockwise.. http://images.wikia.com/f1/images/c/c7/Me...

To be fair he didn't actually gain any places - he was already ahead of Raikonnen before Grosjean spun and came out behind the Ferrari's - and anyway didn't have an option.
The few cars that followed him through got an advantage though - Vernge was complaining about that post race.
