Re: Has Lewis Hamilton taken his last victory?
I think if Hamiltons car is still no good in 2023 I think he might go to Ferrari 4 2 seasons just to see if he can get that 8th WDC because I would love to see him make history and it would be ironic for Hamilton to make history in a ferrari let's see what happens in a few years 😉 I can't see him g...

Re: Mazepin set to lose his seat
Steiner said that Fittipaldi is "first in line" for Mazipane's seat. But I would think a driver with some sponorship dollars would be given serious consideration. Who are the best drivers with a solid sponsor package that are available? This, I can imagine Gene would prefer someone coming with cash...

Re: Now TV coverage in UK (updated for 2021)
Just noticed on Now TV they have added sport to on demand. Looks like a lot of 2020 sessions are available on demand as well as the pre/post shows. This makes paying £25 for it far more palatable. Was annoying when you'd miss the start or part of a session and not be able to watch it until a repeat.

1. A record 23 races have been scheduled on the 2021 F1 calendar. How many rounds will be held this year? 19 2. Following the latest aerodynamic rules changes, will this year’s cars be slower than last year’s? No 3. What will Fernando Alonso’s best result be during his first year back in Formula 1? ...

Yeah £25 is better than £34, but still a lot. Hopefully, when the deal comes up for renewal Channel 4 get a chance at taking the rights, their ratings are usually pretty good - surely that means something to Liberty.

. Channel 4 had an interview with the HAAS boss who said that money was tight, the present car is no good and they need time and money to develop a decent 2022 car. The 2021 car is not going to be a great improvement on today's car. They need to rebalance the money between drivers and car developme...

Red Bull flirted with the idea of building their own power units when they declared their intention not to renew with Renault... kinda hope they revisit that idea, or manage to tempt another manufacturer back.... Will be more entertaining than them just going back to Renault.

Re: Reverse Grid Sprint Races back on the table?
Let's address the elephant in the room: the reason why FIA and Liberty are pushing so hard for reverse grid races is because of Mercedes domination. There's a lot of rule changes planned for 2022, but that still leaves 2021. As it stands right now, Mercedes have a huge advantage locked in for next ...

Yeah, the US GP is months away. Protests are unlikely to continue at this level for that long.
And yeah, F1 is notorious for remaining politically impartial. If they make a stance on racing in America, they'll be left open to question why they race in China, Russia, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi

I might just get a week pass for Aus, its the only weekend i really need Sky for.
Once the season is underway I'll probably just wait for Channel 4.
Might consider the pass next year, the rule changes might make the season a bit more unpredictable.

But, they track is on existing roads.
I mean I guess they could move the roads/have temporary roads?
What I'd most like F1 to do is move the race start time back to 13:00/14:00... Was visually more spectacular in the sun, its looked a dull with the 17:00 local time start.

Yeah, McLaren were working overtime towards the end of 2017 to apportion blame Honda for their poor performance in recent years - but the signs were there in their last 2 seasons with Merc. Remember all that rubbish about "we have the best chassis on the grid, the engine is letting us down" ... bull...

I don't know where Williams go from here. They seem rooted in last place and there arent any indications that they'll be able to get further up the grid.
