Re: MB--Really not giving teams equal Engines

Software is a big deal with these PUs and that is not homologated. Look at the difference in driveability for the Renault engine between races one and three - that's all software, and was apparently worth between 0.5-1 second a lap.

Re: We've All Been Duped and Taken as Fools

I totally agree with the OP. I think it's obvious to anyone with at least one cynical bone in their body. F1 has been heading in this direction for years though (Red Bull hid their full dominance in 2011, though it was never in the same league as that enjoyed by Merc). What's worse is the complexity...

Re: Carlos Sainz Jr. being blasted by karting rival

As I understand it sponsorship played some part in Sainz's eventual STR promotion. And I do think that the WSR 3.5 field was incredibly weak this season. Still, sour grapes will be most people's conclusion of this guy's opinion. In his limited F1 testing he's actually looked pretty good - he could b...

Re: Webber: this is not racing

I was a Webber fan but he's always had a very negative streak to his personality. Whilst some of what he says is true, much is just that negativity rearing its head. I think he was over F1 a few years back, it never delivered him the joy he hoped/expected. His comments on WEC I think are self servin...

Re: Are Red Bull in with a shout at Singapore?

It'll be interesting, it looks like Red Bull have gotten more efficient with their aero the past couple of races. Even in Hungary they weren't miles off. I'd argue Singapore is Seb's best track (along with Suzuka) so write him off at your peril. Dan is pretty handy there too, but made his only outst...

Agree with Alonso. How in the world can Vettel be the best when he is a clear number 2 driver now compared to Ricciardo. Rosberg was less than ten seconds behind Dan after the first round of stops (where Rosberg changed his wing).
