Re: Istanbul Park
I never really enjoyed Istanbul Park. Agreed, I never saw what all the fuss was about. The only memorable race there was when Vettel and Webber bumped into each other. Yeah, and Turn 8, while it looked challenging and spectacular, was very bad for racing, because by being such a high spee...

Well, that and Merc don't have a number 1 policy and I rate Rosberg above Blarichello and Webber so there isn't just one driver winning.w1Y! wrote:And people say this merc is the most dominant in history.

There's a very vocal group of F1 fans calling for the covering of drivers as well as covering up the open wheels of F1 cars , all in the name of maximum safety. As I think about this drive to push cars in this direction, I ask myself, how are F1 cars then different from prototype sports cars like t...

I really don't understand the obsession some people have with the white lines. Maybe on some of the newer circuits with acres of runoff where the lines are pretty much the only thing defining the circuit, but if someone rides the curbs a bit too much I really don't see the issue. Pretty much everyo...

Re: White lines
I actually like the V8 Supercars solution to this problem, at notorious corners where the drivers get greedy they put down a sensor that detects when 4 tyres have crossed over it and which car it was. When this happens an instantaneous warning gets sent to the team and if you cross it too many time...

The Peugeot deal is what really scuppered Prost. It was an absolute pig. They went from a team that probably would have won a couple of races in '97 without Panis's accident to a backmarker.
