Ricciardo DOTD for being on the right tyres and forcing another driver to retire Ricciardo was mostly at fault. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Ricciardo hasn't yet driven a Ferrari engined F1 car. Perhaps an Alfa Romeo, or a Hass beckons.. *edit* I guess he also hasn't driven a Honda powered car either. But that's not happening obviously

Re: BREAKING NEWS... Michael Masi Removed As Race Director
It saddens me to see the exultant response to Masi's demise. Hamilton has 40 million reasons to drive this season, 7 WDC's to compensate him as well as the respect of all his peers as the best driver of his generation. In the great scheme of things he's lost nothing! Spare athought for the guy whos...

Re: BREAKING NEWS... Michael Masi Removed As Race Director
One more thing to say, to put it another way. The risk to Hamilton's race win was exactly the same on lap 52, as it was on lap 53 just before Latifi crashed. You have to look at an alternative that changes the situation at this point. Everyone defends Mercedes for not pitting Hamilton under VSC, bec...

He was damned either way. Had he let the race finish under safety car, people would have called for his head. I don't think that's true. Many people may have been disappointed I'm sure, but it was what most expected because of their knowledge of the regs and protocols. I don't believe that had the ...

Re: BREAKING NEWS... Michael Masi Removed As Race Director
Big picture, Masi will be ok. But what happened to him is quite unreasonable. Losing track position to Max would have ended Hamilton's race because Max would have taken any evasive action possible to stay ahead (as we saw on Lap 1 of Abu Dhabi, and in Saudi, and in Interlagos). Previous FIA regimes...

Big picture, Masi will be ok. But what happened to him is quite unreasonable. First, all of you Hamilton diehards (I like Hamilton) really need to pull your head in. The petulance is off the charts. At no point do you accept that Mercedes failed Hamilton by refusing to see what was obvious, and pit ...

I get people being angry, and certainly, mistakes were made. But I also think this is quite the mass overreaction. Play devil's advocate. Imagine those lapped cars had un-lapped themselves the lap before... we get the same outcome, surely? Would everyone accept, that was just rotten luck for Hamilto...

By its very nature, Masi's is a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" job. I understand the Lewis fans frustration. As a neutral, I was disappointed for Lewis meeting such bad luck, after driving as he did today. But ultimately, there's no need to scapegoat Masi. Lewis was let down by pig headed s...

I just don't understand how Mercedes can't see the *massive* performance gap they had today and trust Lewis, the greatest driver ever, to re-pass. I can forgive being conservative at the end, but they lost it for Lewis at the VSC.

Again... I seriously suggest people complaining about the "speed" of the track, rethink exactly what F1 is. It's a dangerous sport. I'll give you an good example. On Sky Sports commentary, they suggested that the second restart might be better as a rolling start. But completely missed was, ok the fi...

Even Button after the race took the contrary position. Again, Bottas doesn't wear the blame. But I don't think Daniel cou...

I didn't think of this on the day... so if the consensus is it's a good idea, I don't blame anyone for not considering it. He's getting his dues. Great guy, and solid, reliable racer. At the start of his career was unfairly dismissed by some as a pay driver.

If the race does restart wouldn’t they be better doing a rolling start instead of standing restart so there’s less chance of something like that happening again.
