Re: Who was at fault, Ricciardo or Verstappen? (Baku 2018)
I've come a bit late to this and without reading any other posts on the subject because I want to come in with my viewpoint from the off. I have one question. In what universe can Ricciardo be to blame for any part in the accident, other than one where you're not supposed to try to overtake the car ...

Re: 2017 Mexican Grand Prix Race Thread
Hamilton's pit says it's game over. How can he be so adamant that Vettel can't possibly get P2? Simple logic. As things stand now, Vettel has no chance to get into P2. An extraordinary event can change that, but that's a future reply, not the current one. Hamilton asked, "Is that possible for him?"

What's Brundle saying? Hamilton's not in the points yet. He's 16 seconds off eighth. Then he repeats his earlier non sequitur that Vettel wouldn't want to damage his wing on Hamilton's tyre.

Brundle's really losing it. I know I say this every time I watch Sky's coverage but he says at least a couple of things that just make me think he's much less alert than he used to be. Gotta start putting barriers on the insides of corners if they don't want the drivers to go there. I think the whole idea of track limits is a farce. You can't enforce a no go zone with a white line. Re: So is that that for the title battle?
I wouldn't have believed Hamilton could have lost the 17 point lead he had in 2007 over the course of two races, when a win was worth 10 points. Is it 59 points now that he leads by with 25 for a win and with four races to go? Can he win by just following Vettel home in every race yet?

No, but the car might be. The team of Hamilton and Mercedes, all 200 odd of them, have produced results way beyond any other combination this year and two of the other times Hamilton won the WDC.

When Hamilton can afford to finish every race in second place, I'd be more willing to admit it might be over for Vettel. Until then, Seb is a couple of wins and a Lewis DNF away from leading the WDC again.
