Doornbos and Liuzzi for RB and Speed and Hartley for STR/AT although Tsunoda needs to buck his performances up somewhat.

Re: Who is performing better in 2021, Norris or Verstappen?

As a Norris fan, I’ve got to give it to Max. You could maybe point the finger at a couple of less than perfect qualy laps but on Sundays, when points are handed out, he’s been literally flawless. Lando has been superb but little things like his Perez incident and a rather mediocre Spanish weekend pu...

Re: 2021 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread

Finding it almost unbelievable that anyone would think Norris, and subsequently Perez, deserved a penalty for the turn 4 offs. When trying to overtake around the outside you take the risk and often it doesn’t work, what is the driver on the inside expected to do - just stop and let them past. The o...

Vettel seems to have pulled a Vettel on Räikkönen... Quite clearly Raikkonen’s fault Watching the replay, they both sort of drifted towards the middle of the track and touched. Re: 2021 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread

Gutted for Russell Russell is gaining a reputation as a bottler when the chips are down. His real problem is that Latifi is an absolute snail so it begs the question of competitive Williams is. He hasn’t bottled anything, he was beaten by a two time world champion in a perfectly healthy, faster car.

I always thought it’d be good to see a 270 degree corner, which cuts back under itself with a short bridge/tunnel, somewhere. A bit of a gimmick but it’d be a real test of mechanical grip and minimum apex speed.

For the sake of completeness the Noda-Fittipaldi incident took place on the last lap with Noda having been on his tail for the whole race. The circuit is not conducive to overtaking without high risk. Although the circumstances were not exactly the same, 2 of the 3 incidents I referred to from last...

Re: Abu Dhabi changes.

I’ve always hated just how angular the corners were in AD. The apex never follows the racing line through a corner, they’re all just jagged lumps which stick into the track.

These proposals look like a definite improvement, although that’s not saying an awful lot.

I just thought why not just let them race on softs. No hards or mediums. The softs are fast but degrade fast depending on driver's skill. That way there would be two or three pitstops but those who were fast but took care of their tyres would shine. That’s basically what 2012 was. A whole race of t...

It’s like playing croquet on a turnip field, there is no fix. You’re attempting something which is clearly not appropriate, to which there is no answer. You either watch a processional race with no on track action and accept it for what it is, or you do something else for an hour and a half, once a...
