Re: Who do you rank at the bottom of the list of F1 WDCs?
It has to be JV IMO from the era I've been watching, although had I been watching for longer, I'm pretty sure Rosberg sr. and Mario would be up there, only winning because the drivers ahead of them suffered career ending crashes mid-season. JV basically got lucky in every race he won in 1997. One co...

Re: F2/F3 2023
WTF, how was it not blatantly obvious to everyone, including Vesti, that his left front was knackered?! Why would the team just stick fresh tyres on and send him out?

Re: F3 / F2 2022
The FIA admit that they accidently gave Vips the wrong penalty in the feature race. As they served the stop go there is nothing they can do to rectify it. https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/xbivd6/ot_a_f2_driver_being_given_the_wrong_penalty_at/ Wouldn’t be an F2 race without some sort of V...

Re: Sausage kerbs
I was watching the WEC today either side of the F1 and holy fiddlesticks, that was some accident. The floor of the car was punched upwards in a way that popped the door off, like the lid if you stamped on a tube of Pringles. Ridiculously, it’s not even the worst sausage curve related accident at Mon...

Re: The Official George Russell Thread
I think George showed he is a great character. You guys sit around and debate everything like he should have considered this and that and what did he think he was going to do and stuff. Reality check: this is in the moment, he probably didn't think about anything other than "wow that's a big accide...

Re: 2022 British Grand Prix Race Thread
Let me put it this way, if George is leading in Austria with ten laps to go, he’s coming up to lap Zhou and Albon and they have a similar accident right in front of him. Do you think he pulls over and switches the car off? Like heck he does. There is a bit of a difference between leading near the e...

Re: 2022 British Grand Prix Race Thread
Unpopular opinion perhaps, but I’m not particularly impressed with what George said after that accident about stopping to help Zhou. There are two possible scenarios there. 1) His car couldn’t continue anyway and he was just bullsh*tting. 2) He could have driven back to the pits and cost his team a...

When Liz pops her clogs, I hope we just start afresh with a new national anthem. I Vow to Thee my Country or Jerusalem would be far, far better. GSTQ is just such a poor representation of our country. We’re one of the least religious countries in the world, the royal family is massively outdated and...

Re: F3 / F2 2022
Surely that’s a DSQ for Ves and Pou, if what they’re saying is true? I switched off after the race, what did I miss? The suspicion was, amongst the commentators, that during the double stack pit stop they have fitted each other’s tyres to their car. There was a message from RC saying it would be in...

Nissany was driving like an absolute plank there. I think we should have a small tyre barrier on the inside, on the approach to turns like that. I’ve been thinking it about turn 1 at Monza for years.

Chadwick seems to be big on excuses whilst constantly ducking any credible opportunities to prove how good she actually is. When she first won W-Series the prize money was apparently not enough to get her a decent drive in F3. Then she won it again, doubled her prize fund and still no F3 drive. She...

I think Hauger in 2024 might be the best shout. He’s been a Champ in F3 and F3 and now seems to be improving and delivering results in F2. Still only 19 so could probably do with sticking around another year in lower formula.
