Tyres are too hard. Easy one stop I think we just have to except that's the way it is now. Do we want the drivers to race hard or tip toe around? Both. As it is now they all tiptoe round to make a one stop work anyway. Well they tip toe even more when the tyres are too soft. Problem is they have to...

What I find annoying is when Ferrari and Red Bull was dominating, FIA tried every trick in the book to slow them down. Mercedes has been more dominant for a longer period of time, and FIA have just let it happen. We are currently in a period of the sport where one team has won everything since 2014...

Re: Helmut Marko accuses Mercedes of 'helping' Ferrari catch

From what I read the main issue Ferrari had last year was on the ERS side. i.e. not able to generate enough energy (turbo too small) and being able to store and deploy this. So the engine itself was probably pretty good. Merc offered Ferrari thier ERS specialist and this has helped them fix the issu...

Re: Agreement reached on 1000bhp V6 engines for 2017,

Increasing the power is not that difficult especially if you increase the fuel flow and at the same time increase the ERS side. The issue is the reliability and this is where the costs escalate, but if they allow more engines during the season this would make it easier. Would Twin Turbos realy give ...

The engine is homologated and strictly controlled by the FIA. I would not be surprised if they do have additional engine modes that they don't use and ban the other teams from using them to keep an even playing field. Why run the engine at full power if it is not necessary? As you see looking at the...

I reckon they probably have power in the bag. It would be easy to keep some engine modes in reserve and enforce the other teams to not sure them either.

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/118066 I guess it is possible to have some small reservoir after the fuel flow meter that will allow you to supply more fuel to the engine for short bursts than allowed. Pirelli wanted to make the tyres wider for 2014 but could not get agreement. This was to give better grip for the amount of torque available from the new engines. This year we will have the same tyres (size anyhow) but even more powerful engines.

I'll be very disappointed if this is the case as I think the current engines are fantastic.
