Do we know if Alonso's first power unit is totalled or if it will be salvageable. It seems pretty harsh that through an accident he loses out on one of his allocation after less than a race. It's not like the power unit broke itself, but i know thats the rules.

As I've played quite a few F1-related video games in my time I've got no trouble working out where I'm looking in a race, but I know people who are in your situation. I agree with this, playing F1 2013 has taught me the tracks much more comprehensively than watching the BBC or SKY coverage ever has.

No but a few drivers (lotus, vettel?) did suffer ERS failures and they are limited to 5 units also I believe.

I am very surprised at the lack of running, nothing from red bull or mclaren, williams, caterham or marussia. Obviously the last 2 have said they are running a bit late. But I would have thought mclaren and red bull would have had their cars ready to go to at least get some running in this morning, ...
