Re: Montoya, Webber, Frentzen and Alesi

These are all very good drivers, very good drivers indeed who if had fate fallen a different way would have been world champions, maybe multiple world champions. But as history has shown, it takes more than good car skill to win a championship. It takes a car, a team, a ruthless edge, a complete wor...

Re: Huge respect to F1 drivers, especially their fitness

All this is fine and dandy BUT... You have to also note a few key tidbits in respect to a few point made. CARDIO Drivers are relatively small and thin guys who carry around a lot less mass on their frames in comparison to physical sports like the ones you've mentioned and the more mass one carries,...

Re: Huge respect to F1 drivers, especially their fitness

Some of this may be out of date, but the F1 guys are massively fit. In a test of top sports performers from multiple disciplines the only guys who came in fitter were the Tour De France cyclists (no doping comments here please :D). Cardio: Against professional football players and Rugby players, bot...

Re: Alonso X Lewis (Real mates?? Or Fake? )

Don't confuse the heat of battle and the desire to win with disrespecting each other. They are not in direct competition at the moment other than singles races, so, their respect will be more genuine. It is well documented that Alonso thought that Lewis was as quick as him in 2007 due to McLaren adv...

Re: Why did Damon Hill got kicked out of Williams after 96'?

I can't remember where I read this, Patrick Head's book or an interview with him in F1 Racing magazine. Head went on to say one of his biggest regrets was the way that they handled Hill. Head went on to say that Hill was one of the most underrated drivers of that generation, who had made Williams in...

Some Belgian Grand Prix Photos

It is time to say goodbye, to wave a fond farewell to a endeavor that has been with me for so long… Over the last 10 years I have been working hard to hone my skills at motorsport photography to a level that means I can produce a shot that makes me go, yes, that could make it into a magazine. For ni...

Re: British Grand Prix MAY be Senna's last race for Williams

Maybe given the difficulties many of the "fast" junior drivers are having, this batch of cars and tyres are just very hard to drive and it takes experience or a huge talent to be fast in your first or second season....??? So Senna may have 25 races but that still makes him a junior with no consisten...

Re: I feel sorry for Lewis Hamilton

One of the most interesting things I read about Lewis and Jenson regarding their driving style (I think in F1 Racing) was that Lewis is such a natural driver that he can overcome most car's handling issues by relying on his innate talent....that means that he drives around problems, he doesn't need...

Corrected the link to your site in the quote above. Beautiful photographs! I love the 1st one from the British Grand Prix (the Renault). Did you go there as a regular spectator or a photographer? You seem to have gotten access to a number of different spots to shoot pictures from. Is that easy to a...

Re: Any tips on F1 photography and watching a GP in Malaysia

Just seen the other post - Yep, slow shutter speed can work and it does create a much better impression of speed, but if you get the technique wrong you will end up with hundreds of out of focus images. So I cannot stress this eonough - I have sen it so many times!! For the first part of the race, g...

Re: Any tips on F1 photography and watching a GP in Malaysia

Hello, As this is your first time taking photos of F1 (?) then you will want to play it safe. Needless to say, F1 cars really do go very fast so getting a good photo is no easy task. So a quick guide for you that I hope helps. Camera settings: Go for centre point focus only. Go for as high a shutter...

Re: Ferrari are just bluffing???

I think it was the Brawn from 2009 that was creditied with this quote: " Our car is very quick but we are not sure why it is quick...that means it is difficult to steer development work and we make a few wrong turns". And as history shows, they simply didnt get the car to develop over 2009 and into ...

Re: To SKY or not to SKY

Just voted no way, but wanted to make sure that this was registered as a no way because I have Virgin Media Tivo (and it has another 8 months to run on the contract) and the cost of Sky Sports to get F1 is too much for just F1.... (you might have wanted to add this as a poll option) And that is a re...
