Re: The Official Kimi Räikkonen thread
As a Kimi fan I'm not really obsessed about beating Alonso either; he is some sort of yardstick, nothing else. I'm more interested in seeing how fast Kimi can tweak the car to his liking, and then we can see him do his magic. So far he seems to be faster at getting around things though as compared t...

Re: The Official Kimi Räikkonen thread
Kimi's fastest lap was one full second slower than Nando's. Real uphill battle he faces. Fernando was in clear air towards the end of the race, Kimi wasn't, so that isn't necessarily indicative of anything. Kimi did his fastest lap on lap 56 too, with hulk at least 5 seconds ahead of him. that's cl...

Re: The Official Kimi Räikkonen thread
Wasn't too bad, he was right behind Alonso at the safety car and obviously lost time during pits waiting for Alonso and lost a couple positions which he couldn't get back, but then neither could Fernando do any on-track passes. true, but Alonso always looked to be harrying the car in front and appe...

Many years ago when I joined the Air Force, I played some games of pool with my brother. Considering that he played it a lot and I very little, he thrashed me soundly. Jump forward one year when I returned for a visit, we went out to play. He broke, ran a few balls, and when it was my turn, I ran t...

I think that like Ferrari, Mercedes has the "moral obligation" to back Lewis a bit more, him being the marquee signing and all that.
Will you back the driver who you are paying the higher salary more? I know I would.

I think I'm the only one that believe Kimi haven't "lost it" in qualifying, it's just that his car setup to optimise race pace. Its probably been this way since his Ferrari days.
If anything, china this year show to me that Kimi can still nail a good quali lap if his car is setup for it.

IMO, Vettel is not as bad as people make him out to be. At least, he's honest enough about his intentions (but make no mistake, defying team orders is still a bad move no matter how you look at it). I think this year will be even closer than the last. If there's ever a season to impose team orders, this will be it. The driver of the team with the best 2nd driver will win the WDC - best meaning taking away the most points from other drivers without beating his own teammate. Vettel's move on Web...

So what do you guys think of Kimi's chances at Bahrain? The track should be more heavy on the rear tyres and that's something Lotus have paid extra attention to. Why drop or not promote drivers that are performing well for a promising outsider? It depends on how ready Ricciardo is by end of this season. He might be ready, or he might not. Can RBR trust him to be a reliable 2nd driver and consistently bring in the points? If Hulkenberg can prove that he is c...
