Re: Who are the BEST QUALIFIERS on the grid?

A lot in that post. the final sentence being the telling one for me, the problem is that for the foreseeable future Verstappen will stay where he is. Leclerc won't sanction him at Ferrari and Hamilton's replacement will be Russell. Max's biggest problem might be if McLaren come good and start taking...

Turns out it was a software problem with the speed limiter that caused the penalties to the Rosberg and Button teams in qualifying. https://www.motorsport.com/extreme-e/news/button-rosberg-penalty-software-fault/6067447/ Molly Taylor does seem fast, and Catie Munnings also showed good skills - push...

Final today, Hamilton v Rosberg. Each venue is so different from the previous one that its the variety I like. The course changes during the event as well. Its a different event that youngsters enjoy, my teenage daughter loves it!
That has to be a good thing Sebastian Loeb is really up for it.

Sort of ironic that Red Bull drew attention to it so the stewards calmed down on track limits at that corner.

Then Verstappen gets a penalty for leaving the track limits at that very same corner!

Verstappen must be gutted, with Red Bull quicker they need to maximise the advantage while they have it, that Mercedes will only get better as the season progresses. Nice to see track limits enforced and I hope that happens in the following races though I'm not all that confident.

If we had a driver of the weekend thread, i think I would give it to Hamilton today. I do think he maximised it in qualifying and I still think red bull had the edge in the race. verstappen was very solid, but I think Hamilton did a better job to beat him as i would say Mercedes isn't quite there. ...

I suppose the devil will be in the detail & i'm always keen to see new strategic angles included into F1 but my support for it will depend on how the PTP concept is implemented.
