Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021

Why do you think only Merc and Red Bull could be at the front? Big regulation change next year. Neither could challenge for the next few championships. Thats the point I was making really, surely the best aerodynamicists and engineers are going to produce the best cars. Those people have proven to ...

On top of the recent acquisition by Red Bull of several top Mercedes engineers it now seems that Mercedes have lost their chief aerodynamicist Eric Blandin . Does this mean they have so much spare capacity that they can let these people go? ...

It'll be interesting to see who actually bothers with the race track this weekend. They've just announced you don't have to.
Completely agree, its a rubbish precedent limits are limits in my view, there was run off in this instance but what happens if there is something more solid?

If there is no penalty and given Leclerc's comments I would advise Max Verstappen not to try any outside overtakes this weekend or if he does fit 'cross country tyres' first!

Re: Brazil 2021 - Should Max have been given a Penalty

The more I watch the onboard the more I think Max's only real mistake was to actually go as far as running right off the track. If he'd still done the late-brake and reduced steering angle, forced Lewis to back out but managed to stay within track limits himself I think it would have been OK. Also ...

Re: Will Hamilton reach his century of wins in 2021?

100 wins is a hell of an achievement. I don't think we'll see it again as long as we stay in the 20-25 races a season ballpark given the direction of the sport. I think that Max can do it. Next season will tell us if Max can do it or not. It all depends on RB nailing the new formula and having a si...

Both incidents are predominantly Hamilton’s fault. Verstappen got a penalty for Monza because the stewards felt that it would be more “fair” after they gave Hamilton a penalty for Silverstone. I know the stewarding is confusing and erratic but to suggest penalties are handed out with no regard to t...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Italian GP 2021 Collision Discussion / Poll

Seems to me that F1 drivers tolerated dives by Vesrtappen and to a certain extend Ricciardo and Kvyat whilst they were new to F1. Those drivers have now matured or moved on. Problem now is that MV still expects cars to dive way or give room when none is available. Hamilton has the experience, car an...

The crowd at Monza was so small they made a 15m Euro loss on the event. Liberty has said the race's future isn't secure. Do you think this trait is potentially dangerous for an F1 driver?

Verstappen saw red mist yesterday. While I still think it was a racing incident, Verstappen's 'pass or crash' ultimatum shows he can't control his emotions. We've seen him bail out a sum total of one time this season at Portugal when Hamilton squeezed him on the exit. Hamilton has been far more for...

Isn't it time that an element of standardisation was applied as a basic requirement for a GP? Finally some explicit confirmation that the Red Bull cars have been developed with Max's ability to cope with instability in corners. Part of that is adapting to a different car concept and it is accepted by Red Bull that its car can be quite nervous on corner entry. That is a consequence of the de...

The main issue is the spray pattern created by the tyre as they clear water. The wet weather tyre is providing sufficient grip but generating too much spray in a way that cars behind cant see a thing. Pirelli need to urgently look into this and come up with a wet weather tyre with a better spray pa...

It also means if the same circumstances occur elsewhere at other circuits you CAN NOT cancel as a precedent has been set. Sets up the prospect of a farcical repeat. Just weak officiating and administration by all those concerned.
