Re: Margin between the Red Bull guys in Spain
Just wondering, what would effect of Max stepping in Kvyat's car with Kvyat's best Spain setup? He will have to change the setup to his liking, while Ric already has a pretty good idea from testing. Any idea how much that would cost him +-? It's only a wild guess but I would say they will start off...

Re: Could RBR send Kvyat to STR mid season?
Can someone remind me of how Verstappen went in Australia? Who did he crash into? Was it.... was it....his team mate?? This is just ruthless. Although luck was on Kvyat's side last year when he outscored Ricciardo, credit where credit's due, he was there to score the points. 1 dodgy race, 2 dodgy c...

Re: Could RBR send Kvyat to STR mid season?
People seem to be forgetting Verstappen is still a teenager and currently leads all drivers in penalty points. If your reason for getting rid of Kvyat is because you want a more mature driver who will make less mistakes, Verstappen is pretty much as far away from that as you can get.

Re: 2015 - Will there be better racing?
Can Pirelli change the compounds to help make the racing better? Were they successful with the more conservative choices in 2014? Tires were perfect in 2014 if you ask me. Except Sochi and Brazil. But both were new surfaces, and Pirelli only did what they did in Brazil because people complained abo...

Re: Fuel flow control - What happened?
As I remember the short version is this: In the first round Ricciardo's FIA-mandated flow sensor was badly inaccurate in early practice. It was replaced with another one, which was also bad. So the first one that was already proven faulty was put back on. There was some back and forth about offsets ...

With regards to speed, watching the hud graphics, I don't actually remember seeing any cars actually reaching full throttle today. they could realistically land Ricciardo Horner said in the monza press conference that they had Ricciardo under contract until 2030. Re: The Future Of Formula 1
Ricciardo and Bottas look pretty evenly matched. Kvyat has been impressive but he needs to land a top drive before he can be considered more likely to win. Voted Ricciardo because he's in a Red Bull. Williams will probably lose some of their advantage to Renault and Ferrari powered cars next year as...

Funnily enough I think Dan has Vettel to thank for his result today. He pitted so early everyone else around him responded, meaning they all had bald tyres later on giving Ricciardo the upper hand. Ah well that makes it a lot less complicated. Do they get a penalty for each of the different components separately or or is it one penalty for each "set" of components? eg if you've used 5 of everything, then you take a 6th MGU-K and get a penalty, does that mean the sixth of each of the other comp...

With the penalties carrying over to the next race if they are not fully served, what happens if say both Caterhams take a penalty, but qualify last anyway? Does it basically guarantee that they will be last for the rest of the season, since they will only be able to drop a couple of places in each r...

Re: Difference between avoidable collisions and racing incid
There would probably have been a penalty had the drivers involved been from different teams. No one asked for an investigation or demanded a penalty in this case. Also the team told Lewis right after the contact that it was a racing incident. I don't agree. They didn't penalise Alonso for losing hi...

Re: Ricciardo v. Vergne: Were they evenly matched?
It's hard not to concede that Ricciardo had at least some edge over Vergne, since RBR with all of the extra information they have that we don't have, decided to take Ricciardo. Not only in preference to Vergne, but also Raikkonen. It's not terribly useful to look purely at results from the last coup...

If you accept the western media's account of what's going on in Ukraine then you are buying into propaganda yourself, not to mention using a sporting forum to post that propaganda (the image above). The drop off in Vettel's lap times at the end of the Belgian GP were because he was battling with Button, Alonso, and Magnussen.

I don't understand why people seem to regard Button as so mediocre. He was more or less on par with Hamilton from 2010-2012, beating him pretty handily in 2011, beat his teammate comfortably last year. What has he done wrong? You can't win in a slow car.
