Re: How will Russell perform against Bottas?
I want more than anything for Russell to keep his qualifying record intact and that probably means sticking it on pole position. But I think the realistic most likely scenario is Bottas - Verstappen - Russell for both qualifying at the race. Russell is an immense talent but I think he has too much t...

Re: F2 & F3
I also find it interesting that F2 uses VSC wherever possible while F1 throws the Safety Car out for everything. Kind of backs up peoples' suspicions that the race officials know all too well how to use the VSC, but they deliberately put the Safety Car out instead just to shake things up. In F2 the...

So the Channel 10 Highlights package is BBC commentary. I honestly now believe channel 10 representatives of the team that came up with this joint deal were 5 year old children.
And sadly, using foxtel play/go on my 4K TV will result in high definition pixels.

Re: Australian TV coverage
Annone know where we can get Webber's gridwalk to watch? Was at the track so missed it, but apparently there were a few great exchanges with Brundle and DC on the grid. We didn't see Webbers grid walk in Australia but we did see a flash of him when he and Brundle passed each other on the grid when ...

Re: Does anybody have any shares in Williams?
It honestly depends on how much 25% actually equates to. For example if you bought $100 worth of shares then you would have made $25 profit, and if you bought $10,000 worth of shares then you would have made $2,500 profit, the more money you make the less risks you will want to take due to fear of l...

Re: Custom Driver Numbers To Make a Return
I would like to see the numbers stick with the teams e.g. - 1 & 2 for the defending champions - 3 & 4 for Mercedes (given that the current team can trace its roots back to the tyrrell days) - 5 & 6 for Williams - 11 & 12 for Lotus (or maybe 19 & 20 given that it is formerly the benetton team) - 14 &...

FIA Grade 1 Tracks
So according to the regulations, in order to host a F1 race the circuit must be FIA Grade 1. However after countless attempts at searching I have not been able to find a list of all FIA Grade 1 tracks in the world. Would anyone be able to provide me with a list of all the Grade 1 tracks? And if none...

I bet the writer of that article believes that Webber was at fault for Turkey 2010 too..
Anyway in regards to Brazil 2012 start, it appears as though Webber's only options were to maintain his current line or crash into Alonso.

Geographically speaking this wouldnt work, Malaysia and China are quite close to each other, to throw bahrain in between them is not easy for the teams at all. I think that this will only happen for 2014 as the limited pre season testing for what is a new formula next year. My thoughts as well, once the engines have been sorted I think they will go back to the ban on in season testing. I personally think Bahrain would be a better place to test over Hungar...

As much as the ads irritate me, I understand that they are necessary. What isn't necessary though, is the need for our local commentators/hosts to put their own views of the race as we are going to and from ad breaks, it just means we are without real commentary for that little bit longer. What I HA...

Re: Turbo vs DRS
Given that there will be a fuel limit, I think we can do away with DRS. It requires the drivers to think more when attacking/defending a position, which will provide a good spectacle for us fans. It will also stop cars from being a sitting duck on some tracks when the chasing car gets within 1 second.

I hope that he wins 2 more titles, he is truly deserving of them. Another title or 2 and I would place him at #4 all time ahead of Prost. Countless times he has been able to put his car where it doesn't belong, and caused a massive increase in Spanish interest in F1.

Before the tests began I had a gut feeling that Massa would be in contention for the title this year, and given his odds I am considering a bet but I'd like some extra opinions on this (if I bet I'll be betting $20AUD).

I too have thought about this some time ago but came to the conclusion that it was too narrow, the first turn would be a nightmare, and there is only 1 suitable place for overtaking on the entire lap. I would have loved visiting for the F1 as I really love going to the beach and the nightlife that s...

They used the rules to their advantage, its not like any team hasnt done it before or will do so again. This sport is about pushing the rules to their limits and coming up with clever solutions around them.

Re: Race Set up VS QUali Set up
In modern Formula 1 track position is crucial (even with DRS). For example if Ferrari went for a complete race setup I would think they would be struggling to make it in to Q3, leaving them 6-10 positions behind the Red Bulls and Mclarens. And by the time the Ferraris have overtaken the midfield car...

There is no way Adelaide would be suitable for modern F1, there is only 1 overtaking spot on the track, not to mention turn 1 would be a nightmare at the start of the race. It produced some magnificant races in the past, but in my opinion it's time has passed. Even Imola would be a more suitable tra...
