Sure sport is entertaining but that entertainment should be derived from the competition in the sporting endevour not manufactured by the governing body (or representatives of that body). You don't see officials in Darts, Snooker,... half applying rules to make it more exciting. Sorry, I'm an Ameri...

Re: Abu Dhabi 2021 - How has it left you feeling?
How did that race make me feel? Speaking as a Hamilton fan (I have a Vodafone-McLaren Hamilton hat with a Mercedes patch that I hand-sewed over it), yes I thought it was unfair. But eh, it's a sport. The ultimate purpose of a sport in our society and our economy is entertainment. Arguing or complain...

Agreed, I know Lewis is not popular with any of the U.S. fans I know and is the butt of many jokes on the podcasts I listen to. He is very talented but not universally revered at least in the states where he is seen as a bit of a whinger and not overly authentic. If there is not at least some varia...

I'd kinda like to see a hybrid. Have the first half or so of the season be a race between constructors in design and implementation, and then award the constructors trophy to the fastest team. After that, all the teams unite and, with all their combined knowledge, create the spec car for the remaind...

Bottas for masterfully holding back the faster Ferrari,
Hamilton for doing what he had to do to get it done,
and Raikkonen... nuff said.
What a wonderfully strange race, what with Raikkonen back to form, Rosberg driving like Hamilton, and Vettel, well, driving like Britney.

Re: Raikkonen or Rosberg. Who would you sign?
Tough one, but I picked Raikkonen. I think the gap between Rosberg and Hamilton looks far smaller than it actually is because there aren't any cars fast enough to come between them (which Ferrari seems to be on the verge of changing). Plus Raikkonen generally keeps his shenanigans off the track.

I'm clearly no fan of Vettel, but I didn't see anything wrong with that pass. The whole point of outbraking someone is to go in a little too hot, where your compromised exit speed is made up for by your position blocking the car you've just passed. Raikkonen clearly has plenty of room to his left. T...

Yes. This is because the amount that any given WDC proves is equally circumstantial because they are all under the conditions that are rarely equal to others, not even a driver's teammate.shoot999 wrote:And even if, then that can be simply circumstantial.

That's fine. It basically means you're saying Lewis and Nico had a poor race. The team had a poor race. I drive a 1993 Saturn. College graduation gift, I have a lot of good history with the car, and it still runs pretty well. No, not as much oomph as I would like, but racing belongs on the racetracks and in the video games. Traffic in Austin is terrible anyway.
