Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: Brazil 2025
Aston Martin: Alonso Good pace during the sprint from both cars, but the race pace was lacking. Alonso took the honours in both events, and Colapinto's radio messages in the race tell you everything about Stroll's performance (or rather, lack thereof). RB: Hadjar While Lawson's defensive effort ove...

Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: Brazil 2025
Just watched some more highlights of the race showing a replay of Hadjar's attempted overtake... He literally turned towards Lawson after he got slightly ahead into turn one and banged wheels. That could have ended it for both of them very easily. I thought it was a tricky vote earlier on, but I thi...

Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: Brazil 2025
Didn't "oldtimer" Alonso set a new record of beating his teammate this weekend? What record was that Paolo? I haven't heard anything I think the moderators said something about most (qualifying) wins in series or so. But I didn't check. In qualifying for sundays races, alonso has outqualified strol...

Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: Brazil 2025
I didn't realise Ocon had a puncture as well as Verstappen. He apparently lost his time pitting after the safety car, and lost at least 10 seconds. He would have been well into the points if not for this. So I think he was a fair bit closer to Bearman than this race suggested. Still no reason to vot...

Stroll just drove him off the track. It's irrelevant how "optimistic" it is was to be there. drove a driver off the track that had the tip of his wing along side. There have been so many other instances where this has happened and the drivers have just pulled out of a closing gap. Did stroll get a ...

A Lance Stroll spacial awareness special. He's done many silly things in the past, but I thought it was very optimistic of Bortoleto to keep just the tip his front wing where it was into a right hand corner where he would have lost out to Stroll anyway had he kept it there. Re: 2025 Brazil Grand Prix Race Thread
I missed the first third of the race. I'm seeing the incident at the start as a racing incident, but still would disagree with the views here. I do think that Piastri was mostly to blame. Yes Antonalli did make it tight, but Piastri did lock up, and was not fully in control, and because of this, mad...

Re: 2025 Brazil Grand Prix Race Thread
Well, I'm not sure Norris should be getting any DOTD votes today. He won, but he really wasn't all that quick, given Verstappen finished 10 seconds behind, when starting from the pit late, having to do all those overtakes. Other drivers did well, but Verstappen stood out by a mile.

Again I feel that any of the cars that contributed to this red flag, should not be allowed to use this free time to fix there car. Otherwise, many could deliberately cause this situation to their or their teams advantage.

Hamilton still shows signs of skill. That was a great start. I think bearman was way too aggressive with Lawson here. As he dangerously pushed ocon off the track onto the grass. Piastri continuing to plummet in performance. Hulkenberg also in general has just been poor his year aside from his podium.

The microphone in Norris's car sounds dreadful. Perfect job by him though. Solid job by Alonso and Stroll as well. Alonso beats Verstappen, and Stroll only just behind. Hamilton is going to be / should be in big trouble for that. He went waay too fast during the double yellows there. From looking at that, it just has to be a 5 place grid penalty at least.

Im also a bit unclear why Verstappen was able to keep track position on Hamilton according to the guidelines after cutting the track at turn 2/3 chicane (after the crash). I am feeling that Piastri will get over his slump and be back next race. I also don't think Norris will be totally error free like he was this weekend. Bearman, Verstappen, Antonelli. I was very impressed with how Verstappen handled his 2nd stint. What an absolute joke that VSC was. Just leave the car where it is for the last lap. It's a 40MPH corner. I haven't seen exactly what happened yet, but my view is this: If it was the case that there were people on track pushing his car down the escape road, then there had to be a VSC. The marshalls...

Well, that is a grid penalty for Sainz for the next race again is it not? Not that it was his fault (guessing from the issue he reported). Re: 2025 Mexican Grand Prix Race Thread
Verstappen cannot afford to make any mistakes at this stage to be within a chance of getting the WDC, but - if he doesn't go for it, then things will still be hard with him losing those points. But he can't afford losing loads of points with a careless lunge.
