Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: Italy 2025

Interestingly Aston Martin have said that the suspension failure was linked to Ascari kerb use. If Alonso regularly used it more than others, then it is on him. He certainly used more at the time his car broke. Some sites are giving him the same ranking as Stroll, implying that his retirement was b...

Re: 2025 Rookies

Bortoleto and Hadjar look, at this moment, the pick of the rookies imo. I think we are far enough along now to start forming more solid opinions. Antonelli isnt the next coming of Hamilton. I've been impressed with Bearman as well. He's basically matched Ocon all season. Antonelli has suffered from...

Re: Driver(s) of the day - 2025 Italian Grand Prix

I voted for Max but Albon and Hadjar did great as well. It is amazing how Albon finds a way to score points and Sainz was unlucky again with Bearman hitting him, they both should have been ahead of Hadjar and Sainz should have got a point without that incident. Sainz was also very close to getting ...

Re: 2025 Italian Grand Prix Race Thread

Sainz continuing with his poor season... I can't see how bearman should have to back out of still having his car on themselves... Racing incident, but wouldn't be surprised with a 5 second penalty for Sainz. It was worse than his Lawson incident in my view. Well, maybe this is payback for Sainz. Be...

Re: 2025 Italian Grand Prix Race Thread

I think that reprimand for Sainz is a bit lenient given it was clear cut against the rules. It wasn't like it wasn't possible. However after the penalty for the last race maybe it is good that it isn't a strong one.

Re: 2025 Italian Grand Prix Race Thread

I first thought that was more bad luck for Alonso, but he went very wide there (more so than any of the others) and destroyed the underside of his car. He really isn't helping his chances of scoring points this season. He should have lifted when pulling back onto the track.

There seems to be a lot going around that that was the fastest lap by Verstappen in F1 history, not mentioning that it is the fastest lap at this circuit. Do they mean this or not? I don't know enough about F1 to know if there were any other faster times, but Sakhir was certainly "a faster lap" bei...

Just looking into this. Bortoleto has now outqualified Hulkenberg 7 sessions in a row over almost 3 months worth of race weekends. First time in a while I've had time to write something when this goes up, so here are mine: Piastri over Norris -- It almost feels unfair, as I'm reasonably certain Norris was the quicker driver throughout the weekend. However, he didn't deliver at the crucial moment in Q3 when it mattered most, an...

Hamilton has a 5 place grid drop for the yellow flag incident before the race. With that and the crash combined, as well as a big struggle in Hungary, he really is not doing well at the moment.

I really don't think Alonso's pace has been good today. He complained about being put out in traffic, despite having a big advantage when he first pitted over those ahead of him. Now Stroll has an advantage with new tyres, he has managed several overtakes, while in a DRS train, including on Alonso....

Hadja clearly the main one. I think Piastri and Verstappen were also very solid. Bearman and Stroll both putting in very solid drives with no mistakes. I like how it's never his fault, one of the most aggressive drivers on the track.
Lawson usually gets very harsh penalties too, so I feel it likely will be pretty one sided when we see more replays.

Really surprised they are leaving that Leclerc and russell incident. That was even more obvious that Leclerc was at fault than Sainz with Lawson.
