Re: The Ideal Three American Circuits

And to get things started, my own answers: My methodology is that I'm going to be trying to go for the three best circuits that I think cover a representative area of the USA. That obviously rules out the current three, since they're all in the south. Genuinely, the country doesn't split neatly int...

I suggest a variety of track types so he can get a feel for what he likes (or not). So pick a couple of the big superspeedway races, Talladega for sure, and a short track like Bristol. The race at Sonoma is a road course and very different from the typical oval stuff. Some of the other tracks are fa...

Thankfully this hasn't happened a lot so we may be ok with the current status (as disappointing as it was). That said, I was shocked they didn't have a reschedule option as standard practice. I also agree that races should be scheduled for times when the local area is less likely to see rain.

I hope the race is exciting without ridiculous carnage.

bottas is still on the track according to these great graphics.... I don't think my Canadian broadcast is the same as yours. What graphics? It is the world feed. When they show the track on the screen and the drivers positions. Bottas's circle was still there on the track. Oh I must have missed that

Initially I was upset. But frankly this makes complete sense considering the authorities won't even let it run in Canada this year. I live about 8 hours drive from the Canadian track but haven't ever gone. This cements my resolve to get there next time it runs.

Just and observation. It is pretty amazing how the windscreen stopped Ryan Hunter-Reay from getting hit in the head by Newgarden's tire in the Alabama race. Red Bull's Thai owner is probably the obstacle. Albon is marketing gold for Red Bull in Thailand.
That's interesting. I wonder what the market potential is for Thailand vs Checo's value to the Mexican market in North America. Fascinating stuff.
