Re: France: Vettels 5 Second Penalty
The rules are quite clear though. You have to leave a car's width on the straights. https://i.imgur.com/StibfVo.jpg I agree it's annoying but nobody ever gets penalised for that. You can't just penalise Vettel and nobody else. I realise it happens on the exit of corners, and all drivers are guilty ...

Vettel should have got a penalty of not leaving 1 car width when overtaking Hamilton. Very naughty.

Vettel was ahead going into the braking zone.
He got out of shape mid corner and lost 2 positions as a result.
It's really not very difficult to understand mds.

I do not think the Ferrari was inferior on race pace based on the long runs in FP and the actual race. But apart from that, why not allow everyone her own opinion. Discussing reasoning behind that is of course what this is all about - but a discussion whose opinion has more value than others sounds...

Hamilton’s tyres were not gone at the time. Go listen to his team radio. His rears were already overheating well before Vettel passed him. His pace was still good for at least a couple more laps. Raikkonen was even slower than Vettel in Spain before his car failed so it’s likely that it was just a Ferrari problem. Kimi made his tyres last longer though. Hamilton’s supersoft tyres in his first stint lasted better than his soft tyres did in his second stint, so the second stint was more likel...
