Re: Bottas officially signed with Mercedes AMG Petronas

It is difficult to imagine that Bottas wont be pretty damn quick once he adjusts to the Merc team and car - I'm kinda hopeful that he will match Hamilton quickly and thus create some interest as per Ham vs Ros. Of course, the new rule changes etc may make it all closer and mix up the field a bit, so...

Re: Do you think Alonso would want to go to Mercedes?

Personally, I think Alonso and Lewis as team mates would become very toxic far more quickly than the Nico/Lewis partnership - which is why I'd be suprised if Merc sign Alonso even if he is contractually available. But I've been very wrong before (Ferrari re-signing Kimi and Alonso going back to Mcl...

I'd prefer Alonso - for some weird reason, I suspect they would push each other really hard (like at Macca) - but this time with the mutual respect they seem to now show each other? I'd actualy consider that a Ham/Alo pairing would be the best pairing ever (again, though previously Ham was a rookie)...

agree with Exediron - Ros has earned my respect too - by being able to apply himself and stick to his task. I genuinely do not think he can beat Ham in a straight racing/skill level, but is pretty darned close. I do however, feel there is a degree of him ducking the challenge of a repeat WDC. Why? I...

Really difficult to say how I feel. I think it is fair to say I'd like Rosberg to get it for the reasons mentioned by others, he's stuck at it, and done a solid job. However, it is hard to reconcile that with 'deserving' in terms of beating Hamilton with on track racing skills? It is a shame that Ro...

Hard to look past Max, really. He stood out so much from everyone else it seems somehow wrong to include any other driver in the same sentence. I'm not a fan of the conspiracy theories viz Hams lack of reliability. Given the unreliability at the start of the season; if Merc do not know why those issues occurred and have not 'fixed' them, then it would deffo be worthwhile taking the penalty early (to be sure they are good PU's before the seasons end game).
