Re: Why are Ferrari so slow P1/P2?

I think it is right not be concerned. The sector times are all unimpressive. If Vettel said they went the wrong way (which can happen at any race for any time) then they just have FP3 to get it right. Let's hope they go the right direction. I have a bad feeling like this as generally Ferrari FP2 is ...

Re: Why are Ferrari so slow P1/P2?

Usually what you see with P2 for Ferrari (well this year) has been indicative for the race. I watch all sessions and am struggling to think of them doing so badly in P2. I hope I just have my panties in a bunch.

Why are Ferrari so slow P1/P2?

7th, 12th? wtf? Something really special better happen or Hammy will prob get at least 3rd and Vettel fall further behind. I honestly don't believe it was sandbagging or more fuel - they looked light enough. This could be a disaster from the point of view of people like me who do not want to see Mer...

Re: The Engine War Has Begun, Bernie About to Fire First Sho

Germany's Sport Bild said Ecclestone, who thinks the engine rules in their current form have caused "the biggest problems F1 has ever had", will meet with Cosworth chief Kevin Kalkhoven in the coming hours.

This is superb news if true. We need a cheaper solution.

Re: Is there any chance of Cosworth coming back into F1?

Taking what you all have said into consideration I am more convinced than ever that the only way out of this mess is to change to much, much simpler engines. Otherwise we are at the whim of the engine manufacturers Mercedes and Ferrari. Renault will never catch up and Honda (I think) will probably p...

Is there any chance of Cosworth coming back into F1?

Does anyone have any information about Cosworth and the new F1 engines? I have heard that they have a design but nothing more. Is there anyone in the know or just particularly knowledgeable that can shed light on whether it is a serious possibility or not? My own feeling is that it is definitely too...

I think a lot of these crashes (including feeder series) have been due to the diesel spill which was over ALL the track. Re: the big news for engine customers: you can never win

Both Ferrari and Mercedes supply engines to other teams. But the clear message is that the supply comes with a caveat: you are only getting engines while you are not beating our own team. This should give teams like Force India to reconsider being a customer of a competitor team. One would imagine ...

Does anyone think it's strange when Honda "dont have enough parts" for both drivers, as if another set is just outside the companies resources. I think it's more likely they want one new version and one old version on the same track to measure the difference on a level playing field. And that makes...

I think it would be sad to see Button get dropped. He is still a top driver, just needs a carrot, like a good car, to get him back in winning ways again. He is way too fit to be ready for retirement. Ferrari is looking where drivers go to retire their career now - not a winning team. I don't think he would fit in either. Ferrari requires a particular type of driver and he isn't that person.
