Re: McLaren livery this year
Mclaren seem to be trading on their name alone this season, which in the world of advertising isn't really enough to command a decent return without the exposure that goes along with it. In other words if I was an advertiser I wouldn't want my logo to be dulled out, obscured in black against a backg...

Re: Do pit crew mechanics intentionally hinder other teams?
When the teams spend millions to save half a tenth, any advantage that can be gained by making your competitor swerve at a slightly tighter angle is worth it. This is F1, people have been putting their lives on the line for far less tangible reasons over the years, and I think the risks are fairly l...

Re: KM v Senna genius
In my opinion Kevin was lucky. He had apparently the 2nd best car, and his team mate had qualifying problems. After Hamilton retiring, he got an easy highway to the podium. That doesnt mean he doesnt have potential though. He looks a good prospect. But please... lets wait and see for several races....

And no driver is the new anything, but Kev is certainly an exciting prospect. Whatever the odds are on him being a future WDC I'd be placing bets now if I were a betting man.

I remember a few years ago someone on the forum talking about an internet site where amateurs did their own commentary that you could stream in real time. Didn't the BBC briefly have an alternative red button commentary for children? Now I write it I feel like I've imagined it. EDIT Seems the BBC a...

Don't see how saying "Tough luck Lewis, luck of the draw!" will benefit the team in any way. This is a team sport remember, and having one of your drivers disadvantaged doesn't help anyone. So basically the BBC went from Great, to fairy cakes, to even fairy cakes. How do they expect to operate if they have nobody with a clue as part of the team? Quite a canny move if you ask me. Get everyone talking about the team and the new livery before the big launches, and yet reveal nothing of your design that other teams could steal.

They all had low noses for several seasons pre 2009-ish and none of them looked like that. I still don't get why Scarbs think the noses will look that way. It sounds amazing...but it doesn't sound like an F1 engine.
Sure I'll get used to it, and no doubt the teams' PR crew will be hassling them to shape the exhausts to make the engines sound as good as possible anyway, but still a shame to lose the grunt.
